Here's my card:
It's high time I post my card for the August Outlawz Freebie/Progressive Challenge.
supplied a fun image, New Car, for everyone to play with this month.
It's that time of year when the kids are heading back to school.
My grandson already has his parking permit. It will be his first year driving himself to school. The girls next door will be piling as much as possible in their cars to head off to college.
With that in mind, I made this card:
I flipped the image so the steering wheel was on the correct side for here in the US. Then I printed the car in green and brown, fussy cut and paper pieced, adding clear windshields, headlights, a front plate with Good Luck Dazzles, and coloring the tires. The stamp on the banner and the papers are from CTMH.
These 2 cards are not what I planned to make. I was going for quick and easy. But the butterfly paper was on the top when I opened my box of paper pieces......

The little boy who lives next door will soon be celebrating his 7th birthday. His party theme this year is Super Mario Brothers. I was lucky to find a great card on Pinterest featuring Mario. That led me to Jessica Lewis' blog, scrap sprinkle crop, where I found excellent instructions.
Here is a picture of her card:
This is my version:
It took a while, but I managed to cut all the right shapes and sizes using various dies and punches. The papers and stamps are from CTMH.
And while I had that pack of papers all spread out, I made another birthday card for my grandson, who will be 20 on Monday.
The other day a friend sent me a few die cuts in the mail....
She had taken a Thank You card that she had received, cut off the back, cut the front in half, put the two halves together, taped the ends, and made a nice secure pocket in which to send the die cuts. It was a very pretty pocket. I carefully removed the tape so I could reuse the paper and make this flowery birthday card.

Today I've used the precolored version of the free* Pretty Calf digi set provided for the August Imagine That! Digi of the Month Challenge to create this birthday card for Double Trouble Challenge # 90, Are You Kitten Me?. Thing #1 has requested the use of a cute or baby animal. Thing #2 has asked for a pun. And Thing #3 would like everyone to also enter Challenge #53 at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.
I am also sharing this card at these additional challenges:
