Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #189

 WooHoo - it's April Fool's Day
and
it's time for another Tuesday Throwdown Challenge.

This week at Tuesday Throwdown our wonderful sponser is Robyn's Fetish Digis.  I think some of the first digi images I ever used were from Robyn' Shop.  She has some wonderful designs.  Team B was challenged to use just part of a digi image.  I chose to use an image from Robyn's Fetish digis called Hibiscus Valentine.

hibiscus Valentine - Click Image to Close
Isn't this a gorgeous image? I especially love the center hibiscus flower.  To make a card using just that flower I opened the digi file in my Paint program and cropped out everything but the hibiscus. (I'm sure there are other ways and other programs available to do the same thing.  This works for me and I don't waste paper or ink.  You could just print the whole image and fussy cut the piece you want.)  Then I sized it, printed it, colored with markers, added some dark red glitter gel and liquid pearls, let it dry and fussy cut.  I die cut the black and then embossed it with a doily embossing folder, before adhering the image.
I also used the same flower to create my own background paper.  I sized it smaller and copied and pasted the image several times.  Some of the flowers I reversed in my paint program before copying and some were rotated so it looks more random instead of repeated rows of the same exact flower.  As you can see, I embossed this also before assembling the card.
What I didn't do was straighten the card in the picture.  Sorry.

Now it's your turn to Use Part of a Digi and share it with us at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge # 189.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
2 Cute Ink Challenge #103 - Anything Goes
Come and Get It Challenge - In the Garden
Pile It On Challenge #13 - Floral Fantasy
Allsorts Challenge #252 - Use Those Dies
Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge #83 - Make Your Own Background
Digi Haven Challenge - Things with Wings
Left of Center Challenge #28 - Ribbon and/or Flowers

I'm headed to our weekly CTMH card workshop at Joyce's this afternoon.  Whatever we make, I'll be posting it tomorrow.
I hope you'll be back.
