AHSC + H2H

The CTMH Blue Ribbon Paper is so perfect for summertime, I've decided to use it again this week.   I have been making a real effort to keep the craft table organized.  That means that after making last week's card for AHSC, I actually put the paper back upstairs in the closet.  Then when I saw this week's theme at Heart 2 Heart Challenge was "Life is a Picnic",  I walked back upstairs and returned the paper to the craft table to make this card following Sketch #115 at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

The sentiment stamp and ribbon are also from CTMH.  The card base is Kraft paper.  And the remainder of the Blue Ribbon paper is once again back upstairs in the closet.

Today, I am also entering these challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #252

This week for the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Team B is using  digital images from Robyn's Fetish, our very generous sponsor.  There is a big summer sale at her shop right now, so it would be the perfect time to hop over to see her digital images and more.

My DT card for Tuesday Throwdown # 252 features this cute digi called Choo Choo Charlie.  What you don't see on my card or on any of the design team's projects this week is patterned paper.

That's the theme of the challenge: No Patterned Paper

I substituted some embossing and paper piercing for patterned paper.  My teammates have used other techniques to give you some inspiration.  We'll be anxious to see what you make and enter in this week's No Patterned Paper Challenge.

Quiet Mojo Monday Morning

After all the weekend fireworks and picnics, our neighborhood is peacefully quiet.  There are no baseball games to attend today.  We sat through 3 games yesterday and, once again, our boys collected 2nd place trophies.  Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

Today I've combined 4 challenges to create a Mojo Monday, Color Dare, CAS on Sunday, Send a Smile 4 Kids Card.

(Stamps are CTMH)

In this case, I've used the Mojo Monday Sketch Contest #405 sketch,

The Color My Heart Color Dare #149 colors,

Ruby, Outdoor Denim,  Colonial White and Kraft

the CAS on Sunday Challenge #62 Embossing theme

and Clean and Simple Style,

and

the Send a Smile 4 Kids Animal Card Challenge.

Hope you like it.

This week I'm working on filling the box I have started for Send a Smiles 4 Kids and getting it off my craft table and into the mail.

Oh no.  There goes the quiet neighborhood.  Someone has started sawing and hammering.  Now the dogs are barking.  Guess I'll shut the doors and turn on the AC.  It was lovely while it lasted.

Happy 4th of July!!!

This card would be perfect for my grandson's baseball team.  This morning, despite the rain, they won both of their games in the current tournament.  Of course, even if they had lost, they would still be amazing in our eyes!  Hope tomorrow's games go as well.

Once again, I used items unearthed on my craft table, just adding the stamped items.  All stamps are CTMH.

Today, I am entering the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge #148 - Red, White and Blue

Brown Sugar Challenge #153 - Red, White and Blue

Crafts for Eternity Challenge Recipe #233 - Red, White and Blue

Fast Card

The 4th of July picnic at my son's tomorrow is going to be huge.  Not only do they have a beautiful pool, but also an excellent vantage point for seeing the local fireworks display.  It is so much fun watching all the kids growing up.  Last year was the first that there were no little ones in diapers.  With 4-5 dozen kids between 3 and 11 running around, it gets to be pretty wild and crazy.  My mission today is to make a HUGE bowl of potato salad for the adults and tomorrow I will be making an equally HUGE bowl of mac & cheese for the kids. And Matthew has requested M&M cookies, if I have time.

With that in mind...

This is one of the fastest cards I ever made, primarily because I just picked up odds and ends on the table and glued them together.  As my friend, Gail, would say, "Suits me just fine!"

I'll be adding this card to the submissions at these challenges:

Creative Craft Cottage Challenge #42 - Spots or Stripes

Naughty or Nice Challenge #17 - Seeing Stars

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Birthday + Red, White and Blue Topping

C.R.A.F.T Challenge #318 - Embossing

Fab n Funky Challenge #266 - Birthdays

Fast card, fast post.

I wonder how many pounds of potatoes I need to buy?

Hello Sunshine

Making a card for Dragonfly Journeys' Current Challenge wasn't exactly on my agenda this morning.  Actually, today was a no agenda day, my favorite kind.  I can just go where the spirit takes me, or not!  I'm afraid the spirit might want me to help my DH trim bushes today, but first it has to move my DH.  Good luck with that, spirit!

The latest issue of Quick Cards magazine has some splendid starburst cards in it,

and I just felt like trying one myself.

The stamp is an old one from CTMH, skittles are from Double Click.  Just before mounting the card front onto the base, I decided to give it a spritz of gold glitter mist, which you can barely see except for the one big spot on the left side of the card.  (Hmmm.

Might be the perfect spot for another skittle.)  It does give it a nice sparkly sheen.

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:
Dragonfly Journeys Challenge #12 - You are my sunshine!
Mod Squad Challenge - Patterned Paper
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #234 - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - We're going Dotty
Word Art Wednesday Challenge #190 - Anything Goes
Kraftin Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Sweet Stamps Challenge #228 - Bright Colors

BTW, Double Click has blog candy right now.

Color Dare

This week's colors for Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #148  are Cranberry, Outdoor Denim, & White Daisy.  Using the same CTMH paper pack I used for yesterday's AHSC card, Blue Ribbon,  this card is celebrating the upcoming July 4th holiday.

The sentiment and rocket are both CTMH stamps.  The layered star was cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, and edged in CTMH glitter gel.  The cluster of star gems has been in my stash so long I have no idea where I found them.  The star embossing folder is by Darice.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge # 148 - Cranberry, Outdoor Denim, White Daisy
