Mojo Monday 271

This week I decided to use Baby Robin Digi316 by Beccy Muir for my Mojo Monday card.  Sparkle N Sprinkle just started carrying Beccy's adorable digital images as well as new dies and embossing folders by LifeStyle.

Winter Friends

I needed a winter card for the Oldies But Goodies Let it Snow Challenge, so thought I'd combine it with this week's Mojo Monday #270 Challenge

I'll send this on to Operation Write Home since they are in need of winter cards right now.

Operation Write Home

On Friday a few of us got together to make cards for Operation Write Home.   Had you been eavesdropping you would have heard a lot of ........  "this card needs something but I don't know what"  "how does this look?"  "what do you think?"  " where did I put?"  "that's sooo cute!"  " it was right here a minute ago?".  If you look at our work area, you can tell we were busy!

And from this mayhem we made upwards of 70 cards!
These cards will all go to US Troops to send back home to family and friends.
Check 'em out!

Sunday deadline

Always Playing with Paper has a Sunday deadline for its Merry Monday Challenge 43.  So I'm up early to post my entry before I get busy with other things (like breakfast even).  Of course my photo transfer program didn't like the early hour and needed to close SEVERAL times.  Then the mouse battery died.  But I finally got the job done and here is my card:

December 1st? You've got to be kidding me!!!

Just what happened to the month of November?  Well, it's gone.  And it's December.  That means I have to flip my calendar in the kitchen; I need to put the new registration card in my car; the Discover bill is due; and, most importantly.....

Sparkle N Sprinkle has a new Monthly Challenge.

For December, it is a sketch challenge.  I really like this type of challenge because it gives you a framework for your card but you can still do your own thing with your papers and embellishments.  Our design team has made some great samples for you.  Be sure to go to the SNS Monthly Challenge Blog and take a look.  Then give it a try.  You might even win something.  I did and now I'm hooked on SNS products.

This is the card I made for this month's challenge:

I die cut a  scallopped oval from an adhesive sheet, removed the protective paper, and rubbed Jasper Blue Velvet Glitter into the sticky side.  Once you rub that ultra fine glitter into the adhesive that glitter is there to stay.  Then I stamped my sentiment right on the glittered oval with Staz-On ink (Not a speck of glitter on my stamp or ink pad).  You can find the complete instructions for making this card here, as well as pictures and instructions for all the designers' cards.

I'd love to see your take on the sketch.

Happy Valentine's Day???

This is the second card I made very early this morning, getting a jump start on the Valentine's cards a few of us will be making to send to Operation Write Home today.

I'll be entering this card in the Paper Players Challenge #123.
