Loaded Mashed Potatoes

If you like loaded mashed potatoes, you might like this card.  It is loaded with a little bit of everything.

The digital poinsettia stamps on the corners are from Beccy's Place.  The spray of greens are die cuts from Tim Holtz.  The die cut sentiment is from Sizzix.  The piece of plush poinsettia vellum is from Stampin' Up.  The embossing folder and washi tapes are from my stash.

So how do you like my loaded card?

Double Trouble Christmas in July

It is very difficult to think about making Christmas cards when the AC is on full blast and I am still hot.  And yet, Christmas in July is a very popular theme among card challenges right now.

Consequently, today and tomorrow I will be posting Christmas cards.

Today's card is for the

Double Trouble Christmas in July Challenge # 89

I've used the Christmas theme, tied a bow at the top, and used CTMH striped paper, liquid glass on the berries and nose, a sentiment stamp and a frame stamp so I can also enter the challenge at Heart 2 Heart.

The digi image is Christmas Pup in Stocking from Whimsy Stamps.

July Progressive Challenges

Each month I like to participate in two progressive challenges.  Both reward you for playing by sending you a new digi image to use in the next month;y challenge.

My first card is for the

Imagine That July DOTM Challenge - We Three Mice.

Thanks, Kris, for this wonderful set of Christmas digis!

My second card is for the Outlawz July Progressive Challenge

I'm not much for coloring.  I used some markers, and some watercolors.

This month the challenge was sponsored by Fabrika Fantasy which supplied this Red Panda image for participants to use.   It can be found in their Animal Kingdom Coloring Book with 15 pages of wonderful images.  They are running a Special Offer up until July 25th that is hard to resist.... "Special Offer: If you purchase a copy of the book (either digital or physical) till July 25th, then you will receive all the other 11 digital coloring books plus 2 mini digital coloring books plus 7 sets of digital coloring pages within 24 hours too!"

Createful Heart Design: Guest Designer

Zinnias always do so well in my front flower bed.  They get morning sun and love it.  When I was asked to choose a digi image to use for my Guest Design spot for this month's Createful Heart Challenge , this beautiful Summer Zinnia caught my eye.  You will find more digis in the Createful Heart Design Etsy shop

I did a lot of fussy cutting and used a bunch of foam poppers in order to make the actual flower in 4 layers.  All the tiny dots framing the original digi image are covered with tiny gold dazzle stickers.  The plaid strips top and bottom are washi tape, as well as the skinny burgundy strip covering the left edge.

The CHD Shop has recently moved from Zibbet to Etsy.

**  To receive a Coupon good for a 10% savings all you have to do is, "favorite an item" that you like!     The coupon will be automatically sent to you in an email.   **

It would be great if you would "Favorite" the shop, too.

CASEing a Christmas Card

Recently I came across a stunning Christmas card on Pinterest that I just had to try and replicate.

Unfortunately, I don't know who made the card to give them credit.  It was uploaded by Noreen Meekins.

Here is my version, using what I had in my stash.

The sentiment is a CTMH stamp.  I've used a combination of various dies.  Only a small section of the card is embossed with a snowflake ef.  The smallest square is wrapped with a 2" piece of velum and gingham ribbon.  And the tiny bird is a Cricut cut as well as the scalloped square.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Challenge #79 -  AG;Christmas in July

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #449 - Christmas in July

Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge #97 - AG

Ike's World Challenge #146 - AG/Christmas in July
