Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #389 with CraftyGirl Creations

Here's something to crow about .....

This week's Tuesday Throwdown Challenge is an
Anything Goes Challenge,
and it is sponsored by one of our own Design Team members, Crafty Girl Creations, who very generously gave us digis to work with this week.

I'm also crowing because I chose an adorable rooster digi.
He was so much fun to color.
Most of the cards I make are for children.
Aren't these fun...

I was thinking of my 13 year old grandson when I made this card.  He called us the other evening to proudly tell us he was chosen for the 7th grade baseball team, no small feat considering the size of his school and the number of kids that tryout!

Please hop on over to the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge blog to see the other cards made by our fabulous  design team.
They'd be so happy if you also visited their individual blogs and left them some love.
And don't forget to take a look at CraftyGirl Creations, too.

Wishing you a day full of sunshine with something to crow about!

Old and New + CTMH card class 4/17/2018

In cleaning out my stash, I came across some old Lucy paper from CTMH and decided to combine it with a new stamp from SU and another CTMH sentiment stamp.
As an added touch, I stamped the envelope, too.
This is one of the four cards I designed for a group of my
Red Hatters to make.

Foil Adhesive is Awesome

Check out how great the new Foil Adhesive looks over the stamping on this card!
(I used a bit on the balloon on yesterday's card, too)
The stamps are from Hero Arts; frame and butterfly are cricut cuts on the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge; I used a border punch and ribbon to make the center section; and the card base is SU.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #387 with The Cutting Cafe

It was really hard choosing a digital stamp set from The Cutting Cafe to use for my Tuesday Throwdown Challenge DT card this week.  There are so many digital stamps from which to choose. After deciding to use the One Spring Day set, picking which image and sentiment in the set was almost as difficult.

Here is my take on the current theme at
Tuesday Throwdown Challenge - Creative Corners.
First, a layout with lots of corners and a die cut with interesting faux stitching;  Next a few dazzles on three of the corners; Two tiny punched butterflies decorate the bottom corners below the sentiment (also from the One Spring Day set); and the flower border from the set draws your eye to the bottom right corner.
Here is a close up of that corner.  After printing and coloring the border, I carefully added a strip of glittered clear adhesive over the row of flowers and then fussy cut before attaching it to the card.

I have seen some absolutely fabulous Creative Corners in challenges, on blogs, in magazines and on Pinterest.  Now's the time to show off your talent by entering this week's
Tuesday Throwdown Challenge,

and don't forget to take a moment to visit the shop at
http://www.thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/
where you'll find both digital stamps and cutting files.

In cleaning my craft closet recently, I came across a baggie with several cards I had started for my neighbor.  She wanted some cards for children who were getting adopted and, also, cards to congratulate the family.
I finished up that project today.
Here is one of the cards I made for her to give the family.
Papers and stamp are from CTMH.
The letter die cuts are from My Favorite Things.

I might as well show you this card, too.
