White on White Thank You Card

Isn't it amazing how many shades of white there are?

It is those slight differences that make a white on white card wonderful.  Then add different textures and you have a lovely card.

For this card I followed the White on White Technique and the Sketch at Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge #510.

 Enjoy your day!

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 22

I thought I was all set for today's card for Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  Following the alphabet, I had a "T" card made and ready to post.  After all, it is Thanksgiving and my crafty stuff has been tucked away so we have a place to eat.  And then Beccy pulled out a little bonus challenge for today instead.
She wants us to CASE an old card.

Here is the card I just made for  Day # 22, 2018.

Beccy's Place Day # 27

The first time I ever made a white on white card at one of Joyce's CTMH card classes I was amazed at how stunning it was.  Since then, I've made several for weddings, baptisms, confirmations, Christmas, and winter.
Here is a White on White card for Day #27  Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.

This is a spanking new Sizzix embossing folder.
(I love embossing folders!)
I tried 4 differenty folders before deciding this was 'the one'.  The nativity stamp, by Prickly Pear, was heat embossed in white; die cut with a La La Land stitched circle; which was then embossed with glitz embossing powder; and finally popped into the center of the "O".
Just 3 simple white pearls finished off this
White on White card.
Additional Challenges:
Southern Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Moving Along With the Times Challenge #34 - Anything Goes with Christmas
Allsorts Challenge Week 391 - Anything Christmas

Racing to enter Card #13 in Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards

Beccy's giving away digi sets to the next 10 lucky crafters who enter her challenge.  Of course, with the time difference, I was snoozing away when this was posted.  My Day #13, White on White card, was all finished and waiting for the morning light to be photographed.  I can't waste any more time typing.
Here it is:

Now that the card has been hurriedly linked into the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place, I'll finish the post.
The ornaments, bases and sparkle overlays, are cricut cuts from the CTMH Artiste cartridge with sheer bows and pearts at the top.  The embossing folder is a Cuttlebug folder by Provocraft.  I hope you can see the piece of beautiful lace (Crafty Ribbons) from which the ornaments are 'strung'.  And a row of tiny white pearls across the bottom finishes the card.
Additional challenges:
Brown Sugar Challenge #172 - No Patterned Paper
Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge #60 - Anything Goes
Crafting for the Craig Challenge - Something Glittery
Cut It Up Challenge #84 - Inspired by a book, movie, or song (I love the scene in Dr. Zhivago when they first see the Ice Palace.)

Here is my White on White Christmas card for Day 12 of Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.

Shades of White

When the theme for Day # 20, Shades of White, was revealed at Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards,  I wasn't exactly thrilled.
I had skipped over Day #13, because the theme was White on White and kind of difficult for me.   But I told Beccy I'd put on my big girl panties and give both challenges a go,
even though she was really stretching the elastic.
This is the card I  designed for the Shades of White challenge.

I used 2 embossing folders, top and bottom, that I recently received free with one of my magazines.  The ornament and the glitter layer were cricut cuts from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.  The flower was handmade following a tutorial I found online and using some CTMH sassy strands.   That's ribbon across the center of the card and tiny pearls as berries and accents in the embossing at the bottom.
I am also entering this card in:
A Song in Your He{ART} Challenge #21 - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
Shopping Our Stash Challenge #179 - Free is Good (embossing folders)

Next Post I'll show you the White on White card I made.
