For a very lovable Old Goat & CTMH Card Class 8/27/19

Each year I make a birthday card for my cousin Nancy's Dad.
I try to make something with a farm theme because live on a farm that has been in the family 250 years.
Here is this year's card:

Inside the card it simply says, "I'm so glad to be your kid."
This card has a bit of everything and was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest.
Challenges:

AHSC Birthday Card

Making a card today was not in my plans, but the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge caught my eye.  I used leftover stuff already on my craft table from the last few cards I made, added a dino and was happy with the results.
(The stamps used are by CTMH.)

Here's the sketch I followed:

Double Trouble Challenge #36

Wow! It's Friday already! In this area school starts next week.
My great granddaughter starts kindergarten!
Twisted Sister at Double Trouble Challenge has school on the brain, too, and requested school themed cards for this week's twist to go with the actual challenge theme:
Round and Round.
I think I'll give this to the little boy who just moved in next door for his first day of school.  He is starting kindergarten, too.

I also decided to participate in the Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge

and followed the diagonal from bottom left to upper right, Plaid, Animal, and Circle.

Here are a few more challenges I am entering

House Mouse and Friends Challenge #298 - AG with option of dies
Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #434 - Back to School (stitched circle die)

Masculine Birthday

One of the most difficult cards I make each year is the birthday card for my brother-in-law.  That's because my sister-in-law makes absolutely awesome cards!
Here's the second version of his card.
The first one I ripped into shreds.

The cake and candle stamps are from the Craft Lounge.
The sentiment is a digi stamp.

Crazy Dogs

The box I am preparing for Send a Smile 4 Kids is almost full.
Today I added these two cards:

I finally found an easy starburst/sunburst tutorial that worked for me.  For some reason, I always ended up with gaps here and there when I tried this design.
There's still plenty of time to enter a
Thank You or Anything Goes card

A Place to Start August Challenge - Paper Piecing (background and the dog)

Joyful Stars Close To My Heart August Blog Hop

Welcome to the August

Close to My Heart Joyful Stars Blog Hop.
Have some fun hopping between the blogs of this group of talented Close to My Heart consultants, and me, where we share creative projects using CTMH products.
The new CTMH catalog debuts soon.
There are a lot of items being retired,
so get them while you still can.

This month I'm using papers from the True Love paper pack for some girly cards.

I added some of the Mix In papers for the second card.
The words are on the CTMH Artiste and Artbooking Cricut cartridges.

Now, since this is a blog hop,
you might have arrived here from  Marie Flayer's blog.
Your next stop is Krista Hershberger's blog.

The hop is circular.

If you are just starting here,

simply continue hopping until you find your way back,
making the full circle.
Meanwhile, I'm going to enter the following challenges:

Red Hat Thank You

Earlier this week one of the ladies in my Red Hat group, The Delightful Dazzling Dames, invited the chapter back to her home after lunch to show us a wonderful postal collection she and her husband had amassed.

I made this little mail box filled with yummies to give her as a hostess gift.
The template is on the CTMH  Artiste cricut cartridge.  I added some fun Dazzle hats, lace, red pearls and a velcro closure.

And this is the Thank You card I sent.

The hat is a digital image from Sami Stamps.  I opened the file in my Paint program; resized the image;  inserted a rectangle and erased the section of ribbon that fell inside the box; and printed it so the image would be on the right side of the page.
After printing, I colored the image with pencils and stamped Thank You in the little box.

Challenges:
Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - No Patterned Paper
Unicorn Challenge #46 - Fully Loaded or CAS
Mod Squad Challenge - Layer me Not
TCP Tuesday Challenge #360 - Clean and Simple

Double Trouble Challenge #35

It's already Thursday and I just got my card made for the current Double Trouble Challenge.  It's been a busy week.

Monday was, by far, the best day!
I was invited to go Back to School shopping with my Great-Granddaughter, Laila, who starts kindergarten in just a few weeks.
And yesterday was my monthly Red Hat luncheon,
which is always such fun.
Today I needed to do some card making and cookie baking.

The challenge at Double Trouble is a 3-2-1 recipe challenge:
3 colors (flaxen, glacier, sapphire), 2 patterned papers, and 1 sentiment or image.
You can also follow the sketch at Try Stampin on Tuesday Challenge.  For added fun, they have added a nautical twist.
Here's my entry:

I needed a masculine birthday card and this will do nicely.

Southern Girls Challenge - Father's Day/Masculine
The Male Room Challenge #117 - Happy Birthday

Send a Smile 4 Kids August Challenge

Wow!  August is already here!
And so is a new challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids!
This month the theme is Thank You Cards 4 Kids or
Anything Goes 4 Kids .
Hopefully, this gate fold card will help inspire you.

The stamps are from CTMH.

There was just a bit of the patterned paper left.
Not anymore, because I made a second card.
These stamps and dies are from ARTc (owl) and Sizzix (sentiment and shapes).

Both these cards will go to a SAS4K volunteer who will send them on to a children's hospital for patient use.  If you are interested in making and donating cards to SAS4K, you can find all the information you need right here.

I hope you'll enter this month's SAS4K Challenge.  We love to see your wonderful creations and visit your blogs.

Brown Sugar Challenge #292 - Anything Goes
