Bears Everywhere & CTMH Card Class 9/26/17

The other day, while shopping, my friend and I came across one inexpensive sheet of cute teddy bear stickers.
We had one of those discussions ... are you going to buy them?... well, do you want to buy them? ... I don't need to buy them...
really, I don't need to buy them either, but they are cute....
so who's going to buy them?... Okay, then. I'm going to buy them!
And I did!
Not that it mattered which one of us bought them.  They are going to end up at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Challenges:
Cards In Envy Challenge - Easy as 1-2-3

******************
Yesterday at Joyce's CTMH card class we welcomed back Carol and said goodbye to Cindy.
We also polished off one really yummy lemon sponge pie!
Thanks, Joyce.  (She knows it's my favorite!)
In between we made these cards:

And the mailman brought me this card, made by my friend Betty.

And I'm truly grateful for all my crafty friends and blog visitors.

HB GG and Aunt Eileen

About a month ago I posted a baby card I made using a drawing by my BFF's granddaughter, Layla.  I made two more birthday cards using her drawings, one for her great grandmother...
(card front featuring a Layla's drawing of the cat sleeping on the arm of GG's sofa)

(inside of card)

and also one for her Aunt Eileen ...

(This drawing is of Aunt Eileen's new puppy.)

(inside)
Layla's brother has the next birthday.  I can't wait to see what she draws for on his card.  Last year it was a big hippopotamus!
This is really easy to do with any drawing.
Scan the image.  Save it.
I open the image in my Paint program,
resize it and print it just like a digi.

Speaking of hippos,
here is the baby card I made for Eileen's new little boy.
The stamps are from CTMH.

Challenges
Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - Patterned Paper
Crafty Animals Challenge #6 - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Pop It Up (I used foam tape to pop the hippo's head.)

That's it for now.
I have a couple new badges I'm anxious to add to my blog.
Enjoy your day and thanks for your visit!

Bugaboo Owl & CTMH Card Class 9/19/17

Normally when I take pictures to share with you, I try very hard to hold the camera steady and straight.  Then I take multiple pictures to make sure I get a good one.  And this afternoon it dawned on me that if I intentionally put the card on an angle, all that is totally unnecessary.

 Works for me!

Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge - Fall Colors 4 Kids
Make My Monday Challenge #55 - Autumn Colors
Always Fun Challenge #24 - Fall Colors
Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - Golden Harvest

Joyful Stars CTMH September Blog Hop

Welcome to the September

Close to My Heart Joyful Stars Blog Hop.

Have some fun hopping between the blogs of this group of talented Close to My Heart consultants, and me, where we share creative projects using CTMH products.

The first card I am sharing is an upright z fold card.
For this card I have used the CTMH September SOTM set, new Two-toned Cardstock,  Basic Fundamental Paper, and Black Dots.

The second card features the "Merry Christmas"
cut from the CTMH Flower Market cricut cartridge covered in Liquid Glass,
Two-toned Cardstock,  Basic Fundamental Paper, and Silver Shimmer Trim.
Now, since this is a blog hop, you might have arrived here from Tracey Pierce's blog.

Your next stop is  Lucy Marino's blog.   Lucy is new to the hop and I can't wait to see what she has created.

The hop is circular. So if you are just starting here, simply continue hopping until you find your way back, making the full circle.  If you get lost, the complete list of participants is on Joyce's blog

I am entering the z-fold card in the following challenges:
Little Red Wagon Challenge #410 - Give Us Your Background (I stamped mine.)
Aud Sentiments Challenge #188 - Anything Goes + a sentiment
Pile It On Challenge #134 - Feathers or Scales

Anniversary Wishes

My calendar says there are three anniversaries this month for which I need cards.  Two of the couples will be receiving this card for their special day....
The sentiment is a Verve stamp.  The butterfly is fussy cut from a Power Poppies digi image, colored with watercolor pencils, then blended with clear Wink of Stella. The stitched circle is a die cut by LaLaLand.  It is popped on a SU doily, which is glued over a fancy frame die cut by Spellbinders.
Challenges:
Star Stampz Challenge - 2 or more die cuts
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Anything Goes + a sentiment
Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - die cuts and/or embossing
Scrapy Land Challenge #73 - Anything Goes with die cuts
Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #171 - Anything Goes with Ribbon

Getting these 2 baby blankets,

2 outfits, and a stuffed bear to fit
in a medium size postal box was harder than actually making the blankets.
They are now on their way to my BFF's daughter in AZ.
Hopefully the package will arrive before the wee babe.
