CAS Sketch Thank You Card

When I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, I knew it was perfect for a few scraps that were on my craft table.
It's very hard for me to throw out even small scraps.
But it is even harder for me to make a Clean and Simple card!

Joyful Stars Close To My Heart September Blog Hop

Welcome to the September

Close to My Heart Joyful Stars Blog Hop.
Have some fun hopping between the blogs of this group of talented Close to My Heart consultants, and me, where we share creative projects using CTMH products.
The new catalogs have debuted, which means we have new papers, stamps and other items to share with you.
I decided to use the new Hawthorne Paper Packet to make a Flip Flap birthday card.  The instructions can be found here.  I also used two new CTMH stamps sets.

Pull the little tab of ribbon on the right to unveil a message.

And you still have the inside of the card to stamp or write another message.
Can you see the glitter?
I had just a few scraps of paper leftover from making this card.  Using the same stamp set, I made another card.

Now, since this is a blog hop,
you might have arrived here from  Marie Flayer's blog.
Your next stop is Krista Hershberger's blog.

The hop is circular.

If you are just starting here,

simply continue hopping until you find your way back,
making the full circle.

Meanwhile, I'm going to enter the flip flap card in following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Stamp It! No digis
The House That Stamps Built DCCS419 - Things beginning with B (blue, and bling for the eyes and nose)
Ellebelle's Crafty Wednesday Challenge - Something beginning with B (blue)
Inkspirational Challenge #195 - Crop ( I cropped the flower.)
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed my cards and the blog hop!

Elmo for a Special 2 year old

Making this card took up the majority of an afternoon.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest, but had to do a lot of improvising.
It is for my BFF's grandson, so he's a special little guy.
 I hope he likes it.

Send a Smile 4 Kids September Challenge

There is a new challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids!

The September theme is  Cute Fall or Halloween Card 4 Kids
or Anything Goes 4 Kids .
It's been almost 2 years since Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles closed.  They had some really fabulous digi stamps.  Today I'm using one of their colored images from the DP Pumpkin Peeps set for a fall card.

I printed the image twice and then fussy cut just the top of the pumpkin from one image.  Then I popped it on the pig's head for more dimension.  I also popped the sentiment.  The three wood leaves were sponged to match the colors in the paper.
This card will go to a SAS4K volunteer who will send it on to a children's hospital for patient use.  If you are interested in making and donating cards to SAS4K, you can find all the information you need right here.

Double Trouble Challenge #37

Today I used the inspiration from Double Trouble Challenge, The Paper Girls Challenge, and Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge to make a birthday card for my older brother.

When I think of my older brother,
there are several things that make me happy.
I am happy I am not as old as he is!
I am happy I am not allergic to nuts, like he is!
I am really happy I do not have as many whiskers on my chin as he does!
He's an okay older brother and I wish him the best on his upcoming birthday.

The theme at Double Trouble Challenge #37 is fall things with an option of including a sweet treat.  Yes, the stores are full of pumpkin this and pumpkin that, most of which are sweet and delicious.  But, for me, fall means apples.  I have some awesome apple recipes, and it's time to pull them out and get baking!

DTC has partnered with The Paper Girls for Challenge #37.
The Paper Girls Challenge #183 is about the things you love about fall.

And finally, here is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch

Before I head out to the local orchard, here are a few more challenges I am entering:

The Library Challenge #41 - Reader's Choice (Cider House Rules)
Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - Happy Birthday
Crafty Gals Challenge #198 - Emboss It (The sentiment is heat embossed.)
