Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #712

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card to share with you each week for

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here is the sketch for this week:

The other day, when I was looking for something in my paper stash, I came across an envelope containing the leftovers from a wedding box I made several years ago.   I decided to pull out the scraps of paper and use them for my next TMS Design Team card.  I ended up making 10 additional card fronts with the different pieces.

I never did find what I was originally looking for!

Here are the additional cards I made using that bag of scraps.

Did you notice how the pieces on each card keep getting smaller and smaller?  I really hate to throw out paper.

Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #711

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card to share with you each week for

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here is the sketch for this week:

Looking at the sketch, my first thought was to make a card with Christmas ornaments.  But my Christmas stuff is under the bed and I just didn't feel like dragging it out.  I contemplated turning the sketch upside down and using balloons.  But that didn't do it for me.  A bee hive with little bees buzzing around was my next thought.  I started looking through my digi stamps, wondering if I had a pretty fuchsia plant with dangling flowers.  No luck.  And then I came across an old digital stamp from Becci's stamps which I thought would be perfect.

Now that I've given you all sorts of ideas, I hope you'll join the fun at Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge this week.
My teammates have also created wonderful cards sure to inspire you.

Graduation Card for Nick

Last evening my grandson Nick graduated from High School.  There were over 600 kids receiving diplomas.

I followed a great tutorial for a slimline card/gift card holder I found on  Pinterest.  You can read more about the card at Frenchie Stamps where you will also find a link to the tutorial.

Here's my version:

And, of course I used my favorite graduation stamp.

Nick will be headed to Messiah University in the fall and will be playing on their baseball team.  I was lucky to have baseball brads in my stash in just the perfect colors to use on top of the cap.

Thanks for visiting.

Send a Smile 4 Kids June Challenge #238

The theme for the June Challenge at

Follow SAS4Kids on Facebook!
is
Teens or Tweens

Anything Goes for kids is always acceptable, too.
We just want to see your wonderful creations
and hope you enjoy making and sharing them!

Here is my card for June:

This card would appeal to both teens and tweens.  I chose shades of purple for this card, since it was for my daughter (who is way past her teens).  Kristi actually squealed when she opened the envelope.   The dog on the belly band looks just like her dachshund, Julie.  We celebrated  her 49th birthday on May 1st.  Three days later she had a fatal heart attack.  I'm so thankful for the memory of the big smile this card brought to her face.

This is actually a special fold card, held shut with a belly band.

 Here's a peek inside:

It would be great if you joined the fun at the
