Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #634

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches
Here is this week's sketch:

and here is the card I made for inspiration.

I don't often do heat embossing, but I wanted the white on the tree to really stand out on this mini slimline card.
The tree stamp and sentiment are by SU.

I hope you'll have time to play along at
this week.
The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #633

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches
Here is this week's sketch:

My Red Hat gals enjoy really making cards.  Last week we made four Christmas cards.
When prepping the card kits, I made a few extra poinsettias.  One of them is below, on my TMS design team card for this week.
The flower is a layered die cut from Spellbinders.  I cut enough for 16, spread them out on the table top, and sprayed them with a spray mist from Tattered Angels.   I used dies from Sizzix to cut the Winter Wishes from white glitter paper.  Then I placed a few dots of glue here and there among the embossed snowflakes and sprinkled white glitter over top.

I hope you'll have time to play along at
this week.

Yesterday when I posted my November card to the Imagine That! SOTM Challenge, I noticed that Imagine That! was also having a 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.
By simply switching the image and large sentiment to opposite sides, I was able to use the Tuesday Morning Sketch above to create this card.

The use of Red & White was optional, but I tried to stick to that as much as possible.  In looking for background paper, I discovered that I have very little red and white Christmas paper in my stash.  That is a situation which needs to be corrected.

This cute Christmas Dachschund is an Imagine That! digi. I colored this with markers and water colors with Gamsol.  I paper pieced the stripes of glitter paper on the sweater. The sweater and hat bands and pom pom are glue and glitter, the kind that goes everywhere.  My SIL has a dachshund named Holly, so this card will go to her.

Hope you have a great day!
Don't forget to play in these two fun challenges!

November Progressive Challenge Cards

Thought I'd take some time today to post cards for the two progressive challenges in which I participate each month, because once I start cooking there is no card making.

The first card is for the Outlawz Progressive November Challenge with a digital image provided by Sheep Ski designs.  At first I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with this lovely digi.  It is called Claudia's Plant.  I am totally in Christmas mode right now.  And then I had an idea.....

The second card is for the November Imagine That! Digi of the Month Challenge.  The Digi for this month is Truckin Santa Paws and is super cute.

I used markers and colored pencils to color the image and then fussy cut it before popping it onto the card.

I hope it's okay to also enter this card in the Imagine That 12 Months of Christmas Link Challenge #83.

Have a wonderful day.

Thanks for stopping by.

If you are in the USA, I hope your turkey is thawing in the frig or it won't be ready to cook on Thursday.

Double Trouble Challenge #96

Troublemaker at Double Trouble Challenge is stuck on the letter "T".  Hence the current challenge is to make a Tall card using Thin Dies.

I used rectangular Dies from LDRS Creative and a wreath die from SU.   The Twinkley little snowman is a dazzles sticker, as are the Two birds.  Teal is the color of the background mat and the bottom wreath.  I added Three snowflakes and tiny red gems in Three sets of Three.  The Merry Christmas, a CTMH stamp, was stamped directly on printable glitter paper.

This looks so much prettier in person with all the white glitter against the red glitter mat.

For another fun snowman card, check out my previous post where Olaf makes an appearance for Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Step Away From The Table

Did you ever have one of those days when nothing seems to go right?  No matter how carefully you cut the paper it looks crooked.  Your punch springs apart when you go to use it?  None of your cs matches the piece of dp you plan to use?  That's when it is time to ...

Step Away From The Table

I've reheated my tea and have a sleeve of cookies next to the computer, (yes, a whole sleeve) and have decided to post the Disappearing 9 Patch card I made yesterday.  I saw the design and tutorial in the SCS Weekly Inkling.  And it is very easy to make.

I've used CTMH papers, Sizzix Tim Holtz dies and a chipboard sentiment from my Christmas stash.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #630

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here is this week's sketch:

I flipped the sketch to the right and made this card.

I used a Tim Holtz stamp and did some layering.

The image was colored with markers and pencils.  I tried to capture the sparkle from a layer of Wink Of Stella on the circle section.  The  strips on each end are glitter paper.

This photo gives you a better idea of the way I popped each layer.

I hope you'll have time to play along at
this week.
