Here's my card for Double Trouble Challenge #203,
complete with Circles, Images and Twine.
It will also be entered in DTC #203 and Try a Sketch on Tuesday # 682.
Do you think I should turn that sentiment around so that it reads downward?
I never know which way to put it vertically.
Thanks for visiting.
First, I want to thank everyone who popped over to my blog to comment on my previous card. I was so disappointed when I realized I had missed a recipe item and couldn't enter it in the challenge. But you gals were so wonderful and encouraging.
Thank you.
I found a little window of time (I can clean the bathroom another day. It's not like I'm expecting company or anything.) and made a second card,
which I'll be entering in the Double Trouble 3-2-1 Recipe, Shades of Fall and the Pearly Sparkles Challenge #112, Pumpkins and/or Autumn Leaves.
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.
Any volunteers to clean my bathroom?
Yesterday I came across 2 pieces of A2 sized patterned paper that a friend sent to me last year. I thought it would make a lovely birthday card for my DIL, whose birthday falls on Halloween. Usually I go with a Halloween theme for her card. But I thought I'd go with more of an autumn theme this year. I like how it turned out.
Shades of Fall. However, I am missing one of the required recipe ingredients (stenciled or dry embossed element).
But I will enter it in the October
Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog #112 -
Pumpkins and/or Autumn Leaves.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
"3-2-1 Recipe - SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" is the theme at the Double Trouble Challenge until October 12th.
For this challenge participants are allowed to make their own recipe.
My recipe is as follows: 1 sentiment; 2 patterned papers; and 3 circles
Any guesses where I got the 4 little balloons?
As usual, I followed the sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesdays.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

I'm not so good at doodling so I used an old CTMH stamp set.
(This is actually the second card I made.)

I started out making a card using the flower stamp from the same set only I couldn't decide on the color. I stamped, colored and fussy cut, stamped, colored and fussy cut, stamped, colored and fussy cut...
And finally, I just glued them all onto one card and called it a day.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
We got a new computer and you wouldn't believe how long it took me to do this! I still don't know what key I pushed to make the last picture appear. Oh my. Oh my.
This week's Double Trouble Challenge is
Sweet Surprise
And here is the Recipe:

Once again, I've been asked to join the fun at Double Trouble Challenge as a Crazy Cousin.
For this challenge #198, which runs from Aug. 18th - Aug. 31st, the theme is "Mix It Up".
The 3-2-1 Challenge Recipe is below:
I've made a Fan Fold Card using TSOT Sketch #677. It looks super hard, which is why I've never made one before. But it's really very easy. It's all in the cutting.
Here's the front,
and here's the inside.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Now, make sure you pop over to the Double Trouble Challenge to see the wonderful cards made by the Trouble #1, Trouble #2, Trouble #3 and the talented Sneeches. Then swing over to Try a Sketch on Tuesday to see sketch #677, which posts on Aug. 19th, and gain extra chances in the DTC random drawing.
I really liked this design. In fact, here are two more birthday cards.
This 3rd card was a winner!
Thanks again for stopping by.
The twins, who live across the street from us, happily informed me that they are going to have a birthday party.
We so enjoy watching them playing together without a care in the world! Who knew the windshield of a truck makes a perfect sliding board? They love finding sticks and having fencing matches. Their driveway is often a museum of chalk masterpieces. Conversing with them is always enlightening. The other day I watched as one twin filled the other's super soaker water gun. I asked him where his gun was and he said he lost it. That was quickly followed by, "That's OK. I have the hose!"
Here are their birthday cards:
If you are making any cards suitable for children, this month's challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids is Anything Goes.
We'd love to see your cards!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
BTW: Today is my grandson's birthday.

Here's a switch!
A new Double Trouble Challenge is posted on Mondays, every other week and I regularly participate. For this challenge #197, which runs from Aug. 4th - Aug. 17th, I've been asked to join the fun as a Crazy Cousin.
The 3-2-1 Challenge Recipe is below:
Here's my "You're in the Spotlight" card:
using Pink, Green, and Yellow, a mat layer, a stamped layer plus a popped up circle of black glitter paper with the colored spotlighted layer on top.

Good luck!
