Double Trouble Challenge # 86 - Guest Designer

For the month of June, I was invited to guest design for the

The theme for Challenge #86 is "Let's Celebrate".
This Challenge runs from
Monday,  June 7th thru Sunday, June 20th

Here are the details:

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "Mr. Trouble Maker and I are celebrating our 52nd Anniversary today and June is the month of weddings... so let's create a project for a wedding, anniversary, engagement, or any special celebration."

You can stop here...
OR
play along with Twisted Sister's optional twist below to earn another chance at our random draw.

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister
says, "Mr. Twisted and I are surprising Mr. and Mrs. Trouble Maker with an Anniversary Garden Party and we'll be serving tea and cookies.

"Our partner, If You Give a Crafter a Cookie, is providing a photo of the cookies we will be serving. You're invited to be our guest. To celebrate let's use their inspirational photo to include any combination of flowers, butterflies, and/or colors in your project above."

If you use this inspiration photo in creating your project you will earn another chance in our Random Draw and can share it with Double Dare's Dare.

Thing 2:  Double Dare
says, "Mr. Dare and I have been invited to Mr. and Mrs. Twisted's Garden Party for cookies and tea to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Trouble Maker's Anniversary."

If you have met Mr. and Mrs. Trouble Maker's requirements and have used the inspiration photo please join us and enter here at "If You Give a Crafter a Cookie".

You are cordially invited to a very special garden wedding and reception.

Well, not a real garden wedding and reception,

just the one I depicted on this side step card.

The main image is an old wood rubber stamp from Oak Pond.  I used Dazzle stickers for the trellis and SU stamps and dies for the flowers .

The table and refreshments are MFT stamps, all fussy cut.  The fence was in my stash, origin unknown.  Tree die is from MFT.  Celebrate die is from Momenta.  Butterflies were punched.  Heart border is a Pink and Main die.  I did the coloring with pencils and used clear Wink of Stella to blend them.

Make sure you visit the Double Trouble Challenge blog to see what trouble their fabulous Design Team got into this week.
I hope you'll be able to join the fun this week.

I plan to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cut It Up Challenge #227 - Shaped or Fun Fold Cards
Creative Creases Challenge Extravaganza - favorite fun fold (step cards are great when creating a scene)

Send a Smile 4 Kids June Challenge

The theme for the June Challenge at

Follow SAS4Kids on Facebook!

is Cards 4 Teens or Tweens
or Anything Goes 4 Kids.

My grandsons (14 & 16) fit into this category.
This card would probably make them

Camera stamp from Stamplorations; Wonkey Donkey stamp from Whimsy Stamps; Both were fussy cut; Donkey was paper pieced; Paper is CTMH; Smile die was a freebie, not sure of company.

And this card might be a little more suitable for a teen/tween girl.
In keeping with the optional flower theme at Try Stampin On Tuesdays, I random stamped a piece of white cs before stamping the Stamplorations camera; papers, enamel hearts and sentiment stamp are from CTMH, and stitched triangle dies are from SU.

It would be great if you joined the fun at the
June Challenge.
(Cards only, please. And they need not be donated.)

Please take some time and visit the fabulous blogs of my teammates.  They work so hard and are very creative!
April
And we have two guest designers joining us this month!

Double Trouble Challenge

After a couple days of rain and record cold temps for May,

today was a beautiful day.

I thought I'd Celebrate by making a card for Double Trouble Challenge  #85.  This is only a one week challenge because it is the 5th Monday of the month.  And because it is the 5th Monday of the month, the theme is

Something, Anything, Everything and Optional YoYo Fun

After very careful and in depth research, I decided to let the Pinwheel Yo-Yo trick be the inspiration for my card.  To make it extra fun,  I made a Yo-Yo Spinner card.  Pull the little blue star and the pinwheel spins like a yo-yo.  Wind the string back up to do it again and again.

Pinwheel stamps are from CTMH.

Challenges:

Through the Craft Room Door Week of May 25th - AG

Retro Rubber Challenge #159 - AG  (These stamps are about 8 years old.)

The House That Stamps Built Challenge M2621 - Embossing

Allsorts Challenge Week 626 - Any Celebration (not birthday)

Double Trouble Challenge #85 -  Use something from your stash- everything; Yo-yo trick for inspiration-pinwheel ; enter partner challenge- Retro Rubber.

Owl clean up later

The craft table is a mess but whenever I start tidying I end up making a card with the scraps.  It's a really bad habit.  Instead, I thought I'd clean up some of the images in my camera,

like this Owl card

Imagine That! digi image printed in grayscale, colored with markers, fussy cut and popped onto a Spellbinder's die cut, CTMH sentiment stamp and papers.

and this Dad card.

House Mouse stamp with hat, ball and glove paper pieced.

Challenges for Card #2:

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - AG

Cutie Pie Challenge #159 - Gorgeous Gingham and/or Perfect Plaid

House Mouse Challenge #341 - AG

Crafty Calendar May Challenge - Masculine

Sparkles Monthly Challenge #140 - Something Sporty
