Double Trouble # 3 Card #2

Today I made a second card for the third challenge at
It follows the color scheme for the first part of the challenge, the string/yarn is for second part of the challenge, and, I am also entering the card in the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge, the third part of the challenge.

Yesterday I was using the stamp set from the CTMH
Festive Birthday Workshop Your Way.
While it was still on the table I decided to use it again for this card.
The frame and coordinating label are
CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cuts.
After stamping, I fussy cut the little cupcake, frosting, candle and flame.

When I first started blogging, I received several items from friends who thought they "might look good on a card".
Judie gave me a selection of unusual yarn pieces.
I thought this one worked perfectly with this card.
BTW, Happy Birthday, Judie!

Push Down Card?

It's not exactly a squash fold card.  And nothing on it pops up.  But when you push in the flower in the center, the card opens for display.  What would you call it?

I always try to make something for my friend, Chris Franco, to share on her blog for the heARTful stamping challengeAnything Goes with a bit of stamping, so feel free to pop over and enter her challenge.

This card uses CTMH Beautiful Friendship papers and stamps from the Festive Birthday Workshop Your Way.   I also used some blue burlap ribbon, a puffy butterfly, sequins with itty bitties in the center and a 3 layer flower cut from the  CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, embossed and then edged with an ink dauber and clear CTMH shimmer brush.
Finished size is 4"x4".

Challenges I am entering:
Shopping Our Stash Challenge #359 - She's a crafting machine! (I used my Cricut and Cuttlebug.)
Scor-pal June Challenge - Pretty in Pink (this required center scores to divide an 8x8 piece of paper into 4 squares and one diagonal score from the center to one corner)

Pulled String Art Cards & CTMH Card Class 6/19/2018

Here are the cards we made this week at
Joyce's CTMH Card Class:

Last week Joyce introduced us to a technique called
pulled string art or thread art.
We all made several tries at pulling the inked string through 2 pieces of paper to create some fun designs.
Our homework for this week was to take our designs, use them on cards, and bring them to yesterday's class to share.

Below are the cards I made next to the pulled string designs I created last week:

And here are two more that I made this morning:

I am entering this last card in the following challenges:
DLArt Thankful Thursday Challenge #230 - Wedding or Thank You
Southern Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Bright & Cheerful
Shopping Our Stash Challenge #359 - She's a Crafting Machine (I used my cuttlebug to cut the dies and emboss the background.  And my Cricut cut the little butterfly.)

I'm afraid that's all for today.
I have some baking to do!

CTMH Card Classes

I have been remiss in posting the cards I have made over the last several weeks at Joyce Houck's CTMH card class.
My apologies.

First, these are the cards we made today:

We also experimented with a new technique, which Joyce has on her blog here.  We each made several examples of this technique,  all very unique.  We will be making them into cards at home and taking back to class next week for show and tell.  I'll try to remember to take my camera so that I can show you what the other girls come up with, too.

These are the cards we made last week:

These are the cards we made two weeks before that:

And, finally, here are the cards we made the week before that:

Now I am all caught up!

Joyful Stars Close to My Heart June Blog Hop

Welcome to the June

Close to My Heart Joyful Stars Blog Hop.

Have some fun hopping between the blogs of this group of talented Close to My Heart consultants, and me, where we share creative projects using CTMH products.

This month I've used the Central Park paper pack from CTMH to create this birthday card.  I was inspired by the Rainbow Special that CTMH is having for the month of June.  And I think birthday cards should be bright and happy, which this paper certainly is.

Now, since this is a blog hop,

you might have arrived here from  Joyce Houck's blog.
Your next stop is Betty Locco's blog.

The hop is circular.  If you are just starting here, simply continue hopping until you find your way back,
making the full circle.
If you get lost, the complete list of participants is on

Double Trouble Challenge #2

Last year for my friend Jan's birthday I created a card with a fun flapper dress design.  I really liked that card and it was so totally perfect for her that coming up with something for this year's card was difficult.  I decided to turn to the second Double Trouble Challenge for some direction.  Here is the finished product:
Jan is one of the gals in my Red Hat Society chapter.  This gatefold card is in purple and red, because they are our Red Hat colors.
I used a feather embossing folder to create a background pattern on the plain, solid color paper (Thing 1 requirement).
The hat, doily, red circle and words are all die cuts (Thing 3, Twisted Sister's optional requirement).
And I'll be entering the current Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge (Thing 2, double dare requirement).

I am also entering the following:
Cards 4 Galz Challenge #73 - Pretty and Pearly
Aud Sentiments Challenge #205 - Anything Goes + a sentiment

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #395 with Dr. Digi

With Father's Day in just a couple weeks, it's time to work on those cards for that special guy.  You'll be able to link them up with this week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown, since the theme just happens to be
What a Guy.

I've used a digi image called One Man Stu and his Magic Kazoo from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, the awesome digital stamp company sponsoring the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week.

As usual my teammates at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge have made some great projects to inspire you.  Please take a moment to look them over and leave the gals some love.   And be sure to check out the wonderful digis available at Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.
