a new card to share with you each week for
You gotta play to win, so here are my entries for the
My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #534
and the MFT Color Challenge #162:
You would never believe how long it took me to make this relatively simple top fold card. I wanted to duplicate the postage stamp die cut in the sketch. Only one problem, I don't have a postage stamp die. I do have a set of scalloped border dies from Pink and Main. How hard could it be to make that shape with a border die? Pretty darn hard! I'm sure I spent well over an hour making that one piece of this card. Next time I see a stamp die on sale, I am buying it!
The Penny Black fussy cut bunny was colored with water color pencils and markers then blended. The sentiment stamp is CTMH, dp is from SU, the large scalloped border is from P&M also, and the embossing folder is by Darice.
I hope you'll have time to play along at
For the March Outlaws Progressive Challenge, participants in the February Progressive Challenge were given a darling Paper Nest Dolls digital image, Lulu Bee, to use.
I used a stitched rectangle die from ODBD, a Momenta sentiment die, and a Sizzix corner die, with inlaid glitter pieces. The image was colored with markers and watercolor pencils. The wings have a heavy coating of clear Wink of Stella.
Isn't that bee paper great? I couldn't resist buying just one sheet even though I have enough paper to last several lifetimes!
Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for visiting!

My 7 year old great granddaughter had 2 abscessed teeth pulled earlier this week. Ouch! Her mother told me she was so brave, going back into the dentist's office with only the nurse, while her mother remained in the waiting room due to Covid precautions.
Tuesday I visited Violette's in Lakeland and was able to find this fun piece of paper to make Laila a card.

Yesterday I hosted a Zoom meeting with some of my Red Hat sisters in Pennsylvania. Everyone looked so bundled up in their heavy sweaters and jackets. It inspired me to make this card for the newest challenge at Double Trouble.
The theme for Double Trouble Challenge #78 is the Wearin' of the Green. I colored up this party going gator digi stamp from Imagine That! Digi Stamps and paired it with some plaid paper for the challenge.
Sentiment stamp is from Sweet n Sassy stamps. |
Use Your Stuff #417, where the theme is also Plaid/Checks.
The new Honey Bear digis for the March Imagine That! Progressive Challenge are so sweet, I couldn't wait to use them.
First I made a slim line all occasion card.
