Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #695

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for

Tuesday Morning Sketches

The design team is taking turns choosing
their favorite sketch from 2022.
This is Raechelle's favorite.

Did you ever buy a pack of paper
just to get one sheet from it?
What do you do with the rest of the paper?

You use it to make a DT card!

The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

You can be sure that one of us will be visiting you.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #647

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches

This week's sketch is by Andrea.

When I first saw this sketch, I temporarily panicked because we are away from home and I only have limited stash with me.
But, I do have my laptop and a printer and oodles of digital stamps.  It wasn't long until I came across a digital image by From the Heart.  I thought this would be a great card for Mother's Day, a birthday, or just to bring a smile to someone who might need one.

The sentiment is a digi by FTH, too.
The bird digi was colored with pencils and blended.  And the flowers have a touch of Wink of Stella.
Those teeny, tiny dies were freebies from a magazine.

I hope you'll have time to play along at
this week.
The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

Doodle Pantry Hits a Home Run

Before I show you the card I made for Doodle Pantry's June Challenge, I thought you might like to see the cards I made this afternoon at Joyce's CTMH Card Workshop.  She's very excited about going to the CTMH convention next week and seeing the new products and catalog.  This week we were using some of the products that CTMH is soon retiring, ie washi tape patterns, ribbon roses, wood trinkets, on the cards below:

************************************************

Make It Manly is the theme for June's
I've used the Doodle Pantry Baseball Birdie image and sentiment which is available here.
The set includes colored and outline images, digital papers and several sentiments.

Besides the Doodle Pantry Challenge, I am entering this card in these challenges, too....
Milk Coffee Challenge - Summer Fun
Seize the Birthday Challenge - Anything Goes
Creative Moments Challenge #45 - Anything Goes/For the Boys
Inky Impressions Challenge #164 - For the Boys
Scrappers Delights Challenge #25 - Anything Goes + Twist: Get Sentimental
Word Art Wednesdays Challenge #137 - Anything Goes
Clear It Out Challenge #17 - Anything Goes + Stash Item: Anything Goes (Everything was from my stash, leftover from my grandson's memory box or my Red Hat class.)
Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #170 - Things with Wings (I've used a Spellbinder's die for the sentiment piece.)
Shopping Our Stash Challenge # 156- Use your oldest punch or die.  (This was the first die I bought along with a set of scalloped ovals.  Both sets are still the ones I use most often.)

Time to get dinner started.

Cheer Up ... It can't rain forever, can it?

Today my mother, my daughter, my granddaughter, my great granddaughter and I went for a High Victorian Tea at a beautiful Tea Room in Reading, PA, about 20 miles from where we live.
 Parlour Dining Room
I enjoyed a lovely mango tea blend, delicious scones, wonderful soup and salad, divine tea sandwiches (the apricot cream cheese on raisin bread  and cucumber sandwiches were especially fabulous) and decadent desserts.  They had a grand gift shop where I treated myself to a colorful new scarf.  Little Laila behaved as a proper 10 week old should.  The only thing to dampen our spirits was the RAIN!

Unfortunately, it poured all the way there and downpoured all the way home.  Forget the umbrella.  It was one of those rains that comes sideways in sheets.  Lucky me, I was driving, with the wipers on high speed the whole time.  Why in the world did we go today in such a torrent of precipitation? you might be asking.  Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday and the calendar just didn't have room in it tomorrow.  So we went today.   No one drowned.   All is well.

In the spirit of today's weather, I am posting the second card I made with the remaining umbrella pieces from my 'It's a Boy' card I shared with you on Saturday.  This umbrella is a Great Impressions stamp, which I stamped 4 times on different colored papers and then did a lot of paper piecing.  The sentiment is a CTMH stamp.

I am entering this in:
Divas by Design Challenge - April Showers
Digi Stamps 4 Joy Challenge - Water Everywhere
Inky Impressions Challenge #157 - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday Challenge #130 - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays Challenge #170 - Fussy Cutting
Cards in Envy Challenge - A2 April Showers Cards
Crafting From the Heart Challenge #16 - Always Anything Goes
Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge #40 - Anything Goes + option- use a sentiment

Don't forget....

I'll be doing Make and Takes this week-end, May 3rd and 4th, at the Stamp, Scrap Art Tour Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.  Look for me at the Close to My Heart booth.

Digi Darla's Challenge + CTMH Card Class 7/30/13

The theme for Digi Darla's Challenge #73 is Copy Cat.  There is a free digi image of an adorable mouse which must be used for the challenge.  I quickly printed up 3 copies of this cute little guy.   I always print multiple copies in case I want to pop a section or two.  Today I decided to make 3 cards:

I might print a few more and make a nice gift set.

Here are the other challenges this little guy will be entering:
Southern Girls Challenge #74 - Animal Antics
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge #44 - Animals
Daring Cardmakers - Creature Comforts
Digi Haven Challenge - Any Animal
Addicted to CAS Challenge #18 - Glitter
Glitter n Sparkle Challenge #43 - Clean and Simple

As promised, here are the cards from yesterday's CTMH class using the July Stamp of the Month.

(I'm still thinking I might color just the cherries bright red.)

If you like the stamp set, don't waste a minute.  Today is the last day you can order it and then it disappears.
