a new card to share with you each week for
Once again, what I envision at 3am (instead of sleeping) often doesn't work when I get to my craft table later in the day.
Don't get me wrong, I like the final result but needed to make a few changes along the way.
My goal was to make a card for the current
Double Trouble Challenge Oh My Gourd Color Challenge.
First I made a sample card to see if my idea would work.
Using strips of papers in fall colors, I made the background. Actually, I made 2 so I had one to use as a sample. Then I die cut a leaf, popped it up with foam tape and put it back in the space.
Double Trouble Challenge Challenge # 147
and the partner challenge
Inspiration Station September Challenge, Prompt #53.
How could I not make a card with a pumpkin, after seeing this!
I could spend hours making backgrounds with little paper strips.
They are so much fun.
Now that I think about it, I already spend hours doing just that!
Thanks for visiting.
The Anniversary/Birthday fun at Scribbles Designs is over. I really enjoyed doing their jigsaw puzzles online. Even though the festivities have ended, the challenges have not. The current challenge theme is Anything Goes.
I've combined two of the Scribbles Designs digi stamps, egg truck and acorn, to make this fun fall card.
This card is being submitted to the following challenges:
Scribbles Designs Challenge #112 - AG
Double Trouble Challenge #121 - Punch it out (The sentiment was punched; The 3 acorns the squirrel is juggling are made of wood; also entering UYS challenge.)
Use Your Stuff Challenge # 467 - Wood (3 acorns)
Through the Craft Room Door Challenge, week of Sept. 27 - AG
Dare 2B Artsy September Challenge - Animals

Today I am sharing the cards I made for two progressive challenges. Each month you play, using their digi, you receive a new digi for the following month.
My first 2 cards are for the September DOTM Challenge at Imagine That!. The Meerkat digis are so cute I just couldn't make meerly one card!
I am also entering this second card in the Something, Anything, Everything Challenge #93 at Double Trouble. I've included a pumpkin as my harvest element and am also entering the Dies R Us Challenge #177. The scalloped circle dies are from Spellbinders, the brown circle die is from Sizzix, and the foliage dies are from Impression Obsession.

The second progressive challenge in which I always like to participate is at The Outlawz. This month Hettie Clare Art has gifted us with a really cute image called The Little Ballerina.

Just a quick blog post to share this Happy Fall card.
The digi image is from Bugaboo Stamps and colored with markers. The sentiment is from Inky Antics, heat embossed with a mixture of copper and gold embossing powder. The leaves were cut on the cricut, sponged in various colors, and then colored with clear Wink of Stella to make them sparkle.
