Yesterday at Joyce's card workshop we were joined by Eileen's teenage granddaughter, Hannah. What a delight to have her with us. She was pretty quiet at first, but after listening to us old chicks and our routine banter Hannah declared, SNAP! you girls are SASSY! We are definitely sassy and proud of it!!!! Thanks for joining us, Hannah!
Last fall I won some blog candy which included a House Mouse stamp along with some other cute fall items. August 31st is
Operation Write Home's deadline for Halloween cards. So it was finally time to try out my new stamp.
The current challenge theme at
House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge # 150 is Heat Embossing.
I stamped the image in VersaMark and used black detail embossing powder to make it stand out and also stamped an extra hat to emboss, fussy cut and pop. After coloring the candy corn, I used a Penboss Embossing Pen to go over it and then heat embossed with clear EP to give it a shine. It didn't start out to be an easel card, but the piece of orange CS I found wasn't quite large enough for a standard A2 card but it was large enough for an easel card. I love orange, purple and black together. I also love candy corn! It's pure sugar.... what's not to love?
Besides entering this card in the
#HMFMC150, I am submitting it to these other challenges:
