I should be on my way to York, PA by now for the Heirloom's Rubber Stamping and Paper Arts Festival there.    The show is open Saturday and Sunday.   You'll find me in the Close to My Heart booth with Joyce, Betty, and Laurie.  I'll be at my usual station, the make and take table.   Please stop by and say hi!

I set up a few automatic blog posts for while I am away.

Here's a Good Luck card using a cute digital image is from Whimsy Stamps

A layer of CTMH liquid glass over the fish bowl gives it that shine.

Singing in the Rain

Well, I'm not really singing.  I have a busy weekend planned and the rain won't make it more pleasant, that's for sure.  Tomorrow Joyce and I are starting out early and heading for York, PA to meet up with Betty and Laurie for the Heirloom's Rubber Stamping and Paper Arts Festival there.  We'll spend most of tomorrow, probably until they kick us out, setting up the Close to My Heart booth.  The show is open Saturday and Sunday.  I'll be at my usual station, the make and take table.  There are 4 great projects planned to make at the show.  Please stop by and say hi!

In honor of the rain, I put together this card using a Nana Vic digital image from CDACP and a CTMH sentiment.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Southern Girls Challenge - Sing, sing a song, sing it loud..... (My song would be Singing in the Rain.)
Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - It's Anything Goes Time
Addicted to Stamps Challenge #66 - Anything Goes
My Heart Pieces Digital Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes
Delightful Challenge - Distressed
4 Crafty Girlz Challenge #3 - Anything Goes

Busy day with my grandsons!

They arrived at 7:30am with pumpkins to carve, and they were starving, and they wanted to play ball, and go to the movies, and do crafts, and print coloring pages off the computer to color, and they were starving and dying of thirst, and they wanted to do another craft.......
And believe it or not, I managed to get a card built, a bit here and a bit there, throughout the day - the tag made when we did shrinky dinks, the coloring while they ate, and the final touches just now after they went home.
I wanted to get a card together for the Creative Knockouts: #5 - CASE Study Challenge.  I decided to CASE Amy's card because I liked the layout and the way she edged and colored her image.  I did change it from a square card into an A2 card so I could fit it in an envelope not requiring additional postage.
So here is Amy's card using a Bugaboo Digi Image:
And here is my card using a Digi Image by Beccy Muir which I fussy cut and then attached to the white distressed CS:

Wood heart is a CTMH Trinket Wood Shape colored with brown marker.

Close up of the shrinky dink tag.  CTMH sentiment stamped with StazOn ink.

Before making my dinner and heading to Joyce's evening card workshop, I am going to quickly enter this in the following challenge:
3rd Annual Link up for Pink Linky Party
Wags N Whiskers Challenge #114 - Breast Cancer Awareness
Bearly Mine Challenge #107 - Ribbon/String/Twine
Creative Card Crew Challenge #46 - Make or use a tag

Some pictures from our busy day:
Not to worry, Nana handled the knife part of this project.

Nick built his own ballpark with megablocks and a baseball game we have.  See all the guys in the dugouts?

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Mojo Card

As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I decided that today I would create my Monday Mojo card with that in mind.

If anyone can identify the origin of this digi stamp, please post it in the comments section.  I don't remember where I picked it up.  It was quite a while ago, before I developed a filing system for keeping my digital stamps.  My apologies to the artist.

Congratulations to Fit Kitty!
She recognized this lovely over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder as an image by Beccy Muir.
You can find it here.
Thanks Kitty!

This card was created for the following challenges:
Crafty Ribbons Challenge #64 - Anything Goes with a Ribbon
Shopping Our Stash Challenge #121 - Pink or Cancer Awareness/Support
Pile It On Challenge #40 - Favorite Color as Main Color
Wags N Whiskers Challenge #114 - Breast Cancer Awareness

He's Back!

I made a second card using the Bugaboo Digi Monster, just sized a bit smaller.  The image was colored with markers and pencils.  I wanted to make another kids card so I used lots of great bright colors.  I didn't add a sentiment so I it could be used for any number of occasions since it will be going on my pile to send to Send a Smile 4 Kids.  Last time I sent a pack of cards, they were so happy it contained a lot of cards for boys.  Usually they get 5 girls cards for every boys card they receive.
Before I glued the metallic blue piece on top of the green CS base, I die cut 2 pieces out of it to use on another card.  No sense wasting the center section of that great paper under the yellow CS.
The challenges into which I am entering this card are:
Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge - Bright Colors 4 Kids
Catch The Bug Challenge - October Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody #30 - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time Challenge #184 - Use a Digi
Robyn's Fetish Challenge #180 - Use a Digi
A Gem of a Challenge #100 - Let's Hear It For The Boys
Di's Digi Design Challenge - Show off those coloring skills
Paper Crafting Journey Challenge - For a Boy
Sassy Studio Designs DTBST #197 - Think Outside the Box (not only is the card not square, but the monster is even climbing out of the box, also not square)
Sweet Stamps Challenge #137 - All About Borders
