Super Easy Card

This precolored digi image from TLC Creations, St. Patrick's Day Mail Vintage, makes a super easy card.  I used a CTMH stamp to add the sentiment, backed the image with some pink CS to pick up the pink in the birds, used a kraft card base, and added a green woven ribbon bow.  TLC has great vintage images and gives out lots of freebies.  I got this image 2 years ago but don't know if it is still available.

Mother's Day Flowers + CTMH Card Class 3/8/16

It's nice to be able to print some digi images, once again.  

(I had no printer while we were in Florida the last 2 months.) 

This easy to color digi image from Bugaboo stamps is great for a quick card. 

 Send a Smile 4 Kids will be needing lots of Mother's and Father's Day cards in order to supply all the children, in the various hospitals they service, with cards for their parents on these special days.  I'll be entering this card in their current challenge, Spring Colors 4 Kids, and then popping it a box to mail out before April 15th.  Then I'll have another month before the Father's Day cards need to be mailed.

I'd like to show you a Z-fold Pop Up Easter Card.  It's a very simple design.  

 Folded, this is a standard A2 size card and will fit in a regular envelope.

The 2 layer bunny is a CTMH Cricut Artistry cut.  The eggs are cuts from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.  All those shape were cut from CTMH Fundamental Papers.  The patterned papers are from one sheet in the CTMH Kaleidoscope pack - front, back, and the zip strip from the edge.  Stickers are from the Penelope Complements pack.  And the sentiment stamps are from the CTMH Just to Say Cricut Collection set.

Sunday Scraps

Yesterday I got busy making a card for the Joyful Stars Blog Hop which goes live on Wednesday, March 10th.  Today you get a glimpse of that card, because I used some of the scraps.  

No way could I toss this cute bunny negative, a cut on the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge.  The papers are from the Kaleidoscope pack; the negative is pink fundamental paper. I punched the tails from white shimmer trim and also ran a strip across the bottom.  I used a marker to do the inside of the bunny ears and his mouth; then decided to add some prisma glitter to those ears.  Flower buttons, a bow, a basket charm, ric rac, gems, and liquid pearls finished off the card.

Ouch!

 I have been suffering from "snow bird" lag the last couple of days, not even turning on this computer.  But I'm beginning to feel a bit more like myself.  After missing 2 months of my grandsons' basketball games, we got to see Nick's team advance to the finals this morning.  Go, Boys!  Here's hoping they can win again tomorrow and take home the trophies.

So it's time to get back to blogging.
I made this card for one of the gals on our Tuesday Throwdown DT.
Sometimes when you are suffering from a big OUCH, a simple note from a friend can make your day.  

That's a new hat stamp I picked up in Florida.

Joyce, my CTMH consultant and good buddy, had a fun workshop this week.  If you'd like to see the 10 cards we made Thursday (in 3 hours), they are posted on her Joyful Creations blog.

Now, I have to get the rest of my craft supplies unpacked and a card made for the March Joyful Stars Blog Hop Thursday and one for an upcoming  Tuesday Throwdown Challenge.

Home again. Home again.

What do you do first when you return home after being away for 2 months?  I'm referring to after you stop at the store for milk, bread and eggs; carry in all the luggage; order a pizza; and get 10 hours of much needed sleep.

So far today,  I have filled my birdfeeders; put away my makeup; dug my craft magazines out of the tub of mail my DH retrieved from the Post Office;  and made my Mojo Monday card.  I haven't unpacked my craft supplies that I took along to Florida.  That will come... eventually.  I just extracted what I needed and used my home stash for the remainder. 

While we were away, my BFF had one of those monumental birthdays.  I had her gift all bagged up before we left, ready to deliver when we got back.  Since the Mojo Monday sketch this week is square, I decided to make a gift card for on the bag.  I'm generally not too thrilled with those little scraps of paper that are on store purchased gift bags.

Above is a closeup of the 3.5" square gift card.  I used purple cs, to match the gift bag and because it is Dawne's favorite color, covered with a layer of velum.  Going through my stash, I found this great flower sticker and mounted it on yellow cs.   I punched the purple outer scalloped circle and center yellow.  The inside orange circle frame and the glitter numbers were cricut shaped from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.  Finishing touches include, a strip of CTMH shimmer trim, a butterfly brad; white pearls colored orange; and a pink and white swiss dotted ribbon to attach the notecard to the bag.
