Black & White & a pop of color

This morning I finished up a few more Christmas cards.
Time to get back to some design team cards and a few requested projects.

I found this penguin, a retired stamp, skating about the table along with a little pile of Bugaboo sentiments.
What a perfect opportunity to use this fun embossing folder.
The papers came from the scrap box, of course,

Fussy Friday

With a bridal shower to attend on Sunday, I thought I better get to work on a card to accompany my gift.  Did you ever have a day when you had a difficult time getting a special card just right?  Today was one of those days for me.
I now have an unused assortment of shower umbrellas in various combinations and shades of pink, black and white, after finally deciding on which I liked best.
Ditto for the framed sentiment.
Here's the final card:

Cricut cuts are from CTMH Art Philsophy and Artistry  cartridges.
Papers, black shimmer tape, bling and sentiment stamp are also CTMH products.
Card design is a pleated skirt fold.

Boo boo making my Bugaboo card

Last Friday I was so eager to get my card made for the Christmas in July Challenge @ The Bug that I neglected to notice that it was a recipe challenge.  I had this card all but completed when I saw the recipe and this card didn't come even close to
black, white or kraft with a pop of color and sparkle.
It does have the Friday Freebie, however.

That's all for today.

Really Amazing

 Hi!  Thanks for stopping by!
I was never one for playing with paper dolls.  Those little tabs that you had to cut around and fold back to keep the clothes on the doll were so difficult to cut around.  Well, yesterday I played with paper bears.  Dressing each in its own little outfit, a colored with markers, or watercolor pencils, and some are stamped on scraps and paper pieced.
The scraps are from another little sandwich bag of Christmas scrap paper, which had one extra 12x12 sheet of striped patterned paper with it.  Here's what I created with the contents of baggie #2.
First I made two cards like this,
using a digi from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.
(Challenges I am entering are at the bottom of this post.)
Then I pieced some of the scraps and used another Bugaboo Digi Stamp for these two cards.
There were still plenty of scraps in the little bag.  So I just started making card fronts.  At one point I was looking in the big scrap box for a small piece of cs and came across a few more scraps of the same paper I was working with.  Till I was finished, I had 11 card fronts and had to go back and make 2 more bears.
This is a picture of the cards on my work table before everything was glued down.
Three tape runners, and two foot of foam tape later, the cards were complete.
Each bear is holding a tiny stamped candy cane.
They sure were fun to cut out!
All 15 cards are headed to the
Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive.
And I'm headed back to the paper stash
to find another baggie of scraps.

Amazing

As my regular visitors may recall, I have been busy going through 4 boxes of Christmas papers.  I have separated the full paper sheets and the partial sheets and scraps.  My intention is to make my Christmas cards this year using only the scraps.  Yesterday I began working with one small sandwich bag of coordinating scraps.
It yielded ten cards!
 Wait, that's only 9!
Here's #10.
The papers are very old CTMH papers.
The tags are stick on complements that went with the paper.
The stamps are also CTMH.  The critters were in that little baggie, too.  I just did some fussy cutting.  That's silver foil tape down the sides.  The sentiment stamp actually says "Warm Winter Wishes", but I placed a piece of tape over the 'Warm' when I inked the stamp, removed the tape, and only stamped 'Winter Wishes'.
That's 10 more cards to send to
Cards for Little Hearts.
