There are times when you do things and then you say to yourself.... boy was that stupid!!!!
Here are 2 valuable lessons I recently learned:
....If you are working under a ceiling fan, turn it OFF before you get out the feathers.
....Also, if keeping the feathers in a ziploc bag exercise extreme caution when squeezing the air out of the bag for more compact storage.
(I only needed one teeny tiny purple feather for this card. I ended up picking a lot more off the floor, out of my hair, etc. and I did that twice. Hence the double warning above.)
I couldn't decide whether to color more of the image or not. I just pinked her lips and glittered her necklace because I wanted that grand hat to stand out. I used my Craft-Dee-Bows maker to make that double red bow out of sheer ribbon.
I am entering this card in the following:

ReplyDeleteI like your decision to leave the skin uncolored in order to put the focus on the hat. Wise choice :) You have made a beautiful and elegant card full of texture. I can't stop giggling about the feathers though. The same type of thing happens to me all of the time. Don't even ask what happens when I use glitter or embossing powder! Thanks for playing along with Smudgy Antics this fortnight :)
