THING 1: Trouble Maker
says, "In celebration of
National Brown Bag-It Day, I've asked the Unknown Comic from the late
Gong Show to inspire our challenge. Use Kraft paper, even a paper bag
for your project."
Don't get the Gong, come play aLong!
Don't stop here...for more fun check out the optional Sketch challenge below.
THING 2: Double Dare
says, "What a great sketch to use for Kraft as an accent in your design, so many choices of what panel(s) to use."
It's Optional...if you use this sketch you can also submit to Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge #409 between the dates of May 28th - June 4th. Link your project HERE and you will receive an additional chance at the Double Trouble Random Draw.
Use the DT cards below for ideas or use your own interpretation of the sketch. Feel free to change the orientation... rotate the sketch or use its mirror image. You may also modify shapes as long as we can see the basic sketch in your project.
THING 3: Twisted Sister
says, "In my opinion I've
been berry, berry good. Celebrate National Pick Strawberry Day with me
and include strawberry(s) in your project and
you can earn an additional chance at our random draw."
Although not required, the sketch offers a perfect opportunity
to use strawberry(s) as an embellishment or focal point.
It was so awesome to be adopted into the
Double Trouble Challenge family
as a crazy cousin for the month of May
that I made a second card.
For this card I used a precolored digi image of strawberries from Becci's Place, a kraft card base and kraft borders and I've followed the sketch above from Challenge #409 at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Try Stampin on Tuesday Challenge #409 - see sketch above

Great image and coloring of the strawberries and love that they are not all red but shown as ripening too...in fact had some of those in my last container of strawberries. And your choices of colors with the kraft and strawberries are beautifully matched. Thanks again for being our Crazy Cousin and sharing with us at Double Trouble and TryStampin'onTuesday.
ReplyDeleteThis is a precolored digi image. The credit for the wonderful coloring of the strawberries goes to Beccy Muir!
DeleteOh, Debi, I absolutely LOVE your card!!!! It's even better than the first!!!!! FANTASTIC take on the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch, and you met all the DT parts of the challenge as well!!! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us at TSOT!!! -Donna
ReplyDeleteYum, yum! Love the image, and your kraft details are so fun! Thanks so much for playing at TSOT!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous creation! Thanks for joining us for Week 21 at Polkadoodles Craftting Challenge!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card! Although you did not color the image, it is placed onto a beautifully designed background. Nice interpretation of the sketch, too. Thank you for joining in as a guest designer at the Double Trouble Challenge and for playing along at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coloring! And beautiful card! Thanks for joining our weekly challenge at QKR Stampede!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Debi, what a fabulous design. I'm a big fan of kraft card, so this one really appeals to me. Love the mix of colours. I love your choice of patterned paper too, it combines beautifully with all the other elements. I think it's very clever to cut out little sections of the image to use as embellishments, I really like the way you've done that with the strawberry and little flowers. Great job!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Beccy
Great card...I'm so glad that I read it was a pre-colored image, because I really thought you had spent hours maybe even days coloring! So glad that you are part of the family tree!
ReplyDeleteYour card is awesome. Congrats on your win at TSOT. The papers and the flowers are just too cute.
