The theme for Tueday Throwdown Challenge #217 is "Awareness" to coincide with October Breast Cancer Awareness Month. However, so many of us are touched by different cancers, diseases, and difficulties that the theme encompasses them all.
Our wonderful sponsor this week, Bugaboo Digi Stamps,
has such a variety of wonderful digi images that the Tuesday Throwdown Design Team has been able to give you a lot of inspiration. Please check out their projects. You will be amazed.
I've used a digi image called Block Sentiments-Hope
to make a more masculine card for three reasons.
- Men can and do get breast cancer.
- It isn't easy for the men in our lives to watch their gals go through cancer and other difficult treatments.
- And, thirdly, John Wayne was my father's favorite actor.
This card is also entered in the following challenges:
Crafting from the Heart Challenge #40 - Always Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion Challenge #235 - Where There's Hope
Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #125 - It's Only Words
Word Art Wednesday Challenge #153 - Anything Goes
I love this cool image- so right- we often forget the guys..... I grew up watching John Wayne Westerns- LOVED him : )
ReplyDeleteFab card and love the image! My husband is always saying the same thing and gives reference to "the man upstairs". Great card for anyone!

I love this image and the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you put that sentiment as the focus and I love the sentiment even more! Wonderful masculine feel to the card, but then, when one is quoting "The Duke" what else would work? :-D
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sentiment. Your embossed background, ribbon and rhinestones go with the images perfectly. Thanks for joining us at Crafty Cardmakers and More. Sally D.x.
ReplyDeleteLove this card, Debi! Thank you for playing with us in the Crafty Cardmakers and more "It's Only Words" challenge this time!
