Recycling last year's Christmas cards

After Christmas we have a short week to put decorations away and pack for our winter in Florida.  I always put the Christmas cards we receive in a pile until we return in the spring.  Then I go through and salvage pieces of cards that can be recycled and usually sent to SAS4Kids.  I thought this cute stocking was definitely a keeper.

This month I am participating in

The Cat Lovers Christmas Kickstart Challenge

This is my cat card #2 for the challenge.

  1. What a great idea! I love that these cards once tossed out could be used again to warm the hearts a 2nd time around! I love the little cat and dog framed by the decorative mat...lovely card!

This card is purr-fect for our Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge over at Christmas Kickstart! I am so happy you joined us again, and I hope you will be back with some more adorable cards!

  3. That's a lovely idea to create cards for SAS4Kids by recycling your cards. I have a stack that I never seem to use. I can see why you saved this one. Cute! Thanks for joining in the Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge. Helpful Hopper - Suzanne

  4. Hi Debi. Your card is adorable and even more so as it's recycled from last year's cards! It is such a cute image and looks just lovely on the festive holly background.

  6. I do this, too (but not as much as I used to when I wasn't a stamper). You're right - this is so purrrfect for a child. It's darling! The die you used on the red is so pretty as is the BG pattern paper. Lovely card!
