Thinking of You

After yesterday's rain, the sun returned today.  My husband and son hit the links while Mom and I headed to Shady Maple Farm Market in Lancaster County, PA.  I bought sticky buns, apple cinnamon raisin bread, gourmet raisin bread and donuts.  Their bakery is the best!  My mother added a shoe fly pie to her basket.  Yum!!!  And then we got fresh produce at a roadside stand on the way home, tomatoes, green beans, blueberries, cantelope and a honeylope, which is a cross between a honeydew and a cantelope.  I had a taste and it is so good. 

After such a wonderful day I thought a bright and sunny card was appropriate.  I had printed up a sheet of Doodle Pantry digi images last night and decided to use their Wire Basket digi.  As always, I printed 3 images so I could do some cutting and layering of the flowers.  

I inked the flowered embossing folder before inserting the paper and running it through my Cuttlebug, then distressed the edges in the same color ink.   For a change of pace,  I folded the card base to make a gate fold card.  

I got a new tip attachment for my liquid pearl pens at the CKC show in Lancaster last week-end and used it to make the tiny pearl centers on the flowers.  Might be the best purchase I made.
