Candy Jar

My it's a dreary day here, temps in the 40's, no sun.  I thought about putting a pot of soup on, just for the smell and extra warmth.  But I've decided to bake an apple cake instead.  It can wait, though, until after I get this card posted. 

With a red hat card class scheduled for Monday, I decided to use this month's digi set, Jars of Cheer, from Imagine That Digis by Kris to see if I could put a 'red hat' spin on the image. 

Out of the 4 jars in the set, I chose the uncolored jar of peppermints so I could use the red + purple colors for which red hatters are known.  I also printed the colored image and fussy cut the bow to add  to the jar.  Doesn't that bow look like it's glitter paper?  What a fantastic colored digi!!!  The scalloped punched sentiment (1 of 6) is also from the digi set.  And the little red Santa hat is a store bought embellishment.
