Yesterday we were CASEing ourselves and today we are making Clean and Simple cards for The Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
I actually made 2 cards for this challenge, because I wasn't sure the first card was simple enough after I added a frame, bow and shimmer trim.
All CTMH products. |
The second card is definitely CAS. I used a Nordic Christmas die, which I received in my Quick Cards magazine. The front of the card was backed with a piece of red CS to cover the aperture. Then I popped out the extraneous pieces from the die cut and repositioned it back into the card front. The string is just drawn with a marker and the bow and sentiment are CTMH stamps.
(I should have waited a bit longer to take the photo. When the sentiment ink dries it will match the paper much better.) |
Additional challenges for this card include:
One Layer Christmas Card Challenge # 33 - one layer w/ optional silhouette
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #171 - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Christmas
The Crafty Addicts Challenge #4 - Anything Goes/Use Die Cuts
Clear It Out Color Challenge - White + 1 color (Stash item - cardstock)
Brown Sugar Challenge #172 - No Patterned Paper
Today was a really cloudy day, terrible for photographing cards. In fact, it looked like it was going to snow! Fortunately, our temperatures are too high for that, but we are expecting rain all day tomorrow. When the sun returns, I will photograph and share with you the cards we made at Joyce's class yesterday.
Love the warm tone in this! Beautiful use of die and colors! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Christmas” Challenge!
