I really enjoy the look of fussy cutting, and I enjoy the actual act of carefully cutting an image. But sometimes it's difficult to know just how much cutting should take place. This fluffy feline from Doodle Pantry is happily sitting in a bed of flowers, which required some careful cutting. I did have to remove some of the flowers in the image so it would fit on the page. I could have made the image smaller and it all would have fit, but I wanted that gorgeous cat nice and big.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #38 - Use a Doodle Pantry Image
Brown Sugar Challenge #58 - Animals
Sister Act Card Challenge #23 - Anything Goes
Crafty Little Fairies Challenge - Cute n Cuddly Critters
Creative Moments Challenge #25 - Birthday/Anything Goes
Your card is wonderful! I also love the look of fussy paper piecing, but I DON'T like fussy cutting! You did a great job! Thanks for playing along at Sister Act this week!

A bright beautiful card with all the flowers and sweet kitty. I get so impatient with fussy cutting and now depend on my cameo to do it. But your results are so well worth it....beautiful card. Thank you for sharing and joining us in our September challenge at Doodle Pantry.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you sacrificed some of the flowers, Debi, so that the ever so cute kitty has centre stage. He is a dorable, and I love your colouring and fussy cutting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for entering our challenge at Crafty Little Fairies, and good luck in the draw. We would also love you to join us again in future challenges.
Hugs,

ReplyDeleteThe cat image is adorable (and one of my favourites) and you've coloured it beautifully! I love the fussy cutting and the background paper! Thanks for joining us at the DPDC#28!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you did all that fussy cutting! You are much more patient than I. Results are darling. Love the way the cat is sitting there on the floor with all those flowers around - and great background. Thanks for playing at Doodle Pantry.
