Christmas Card Class + Double Trouble #181

This morning a few Delightful Dazzling Dames from my Red Hat Chapter gathered to make these 6 Christmas Cards.

This is a tri-fold card from a Paper Pumpkin card kit by Stampin Up.

Below are views as you open the card.

The inset images are from Gecko Gals.

Which would you have chosen?

The snowflake embossing folder just came in the mail earlier this week from Simon Says Stamp.

The other embossing folder is from SU.

Since the current challenge(#181) theme at Double Trouble Challenge is "It's Up To You", I'm going to enter the very first card in their challenge.  You might wonder why I chose that one.  Well, Twisted Sister aka Thing 3 will appreciate the glittery bow on the top of that card and give me an extra chance in the random drawing.   And for another chance, I'm entering it in the Jingle Belles Wrap It Up Challenge, too.

I'd love to know which card is your favorite and which image you would have chosen for the last card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Double Trouble Challenge #180

This week's Double Trouble Challenge theme is

"Stitch It Up"

and their partner challenge is

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I'm trying to get ready for a card class next week.  My dining room table is totally covered in crafty Christmas stuff.  Putting everything away to exchange it for a cooked bird is so non-productive.  But, before I prepare for the big feast on Thursday, and while everything is right at my fingertips, I quickly made this card for the two challenges above.

Have a nice Thanksgiving!

Double Trouble Challenge #179

Yesterday was the monthly luncheon of the

Delightful Dazzling Dames Red Hat Chapter.

One of our lovely members brought each of us a little chocolate treat in pretty fall cupcake papers.  Using one of the papers and lots of layers, I made her this Thank You card.

This week's Double Trouble Challenge theme is

"Lotsa Delicious Layers"

and their partner challenge is

Inspiration Station,

where I'll be entering this card.

The fall colors, leaves, and cup were my inspiration for my card.

I'll also be sharing it at the

2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Enjoy your day.

When I first tried to order the stamp set that included this cute holiday Owl, it was sold out.  I don't give up easily and kept an eye on the availability of the set.  Finally, it was back in stock.  I immediately ordered one and just couldn't wait to use it!

Double Trouble Challenge #178

Once again I'm playing in the Double Trouble Challenge.

You'll find the challenge details below:

My DIL has a Halloween birthday.  I made this fall themed card for her.
It is much more glittery in person because I gave it a good shot of glitter spray, besides the glitter paper I used.
I'll also be entering the current challenge at:
Beautiful Blossoms - AG Floral

Thanks for stopping by.

Double Trouble Challenge #177

Once again I'm playing in the Double Trouble Challenge.

You'll find the challenge details below:

Here's my entry:

The requirements didn't limit our cards to Halloween or Fall.  They did have an option of using one die that represents one of the two.   I needed a birthday card.  So, I added a black cat from one of my CTMH cricut cartridges for a little Halloween touch.

Besides, the recipient of this card just loves cats!

The little mouse, the balloons, and the frame were all die cuts.

I'll be entering the October die cut challenge at A Cut Above also.

I thought I'd enter a few more fun challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Add Texture

Seize the Birthday Challenge #293 - Dots

Make My Monday Challenge #236 - Kid Friendly

Every so often, I check the SAS4K website to see what needs the volunteers might have.  The gal to whom I send my cards,  Jen Reece, requested Hanukkah and Kwanzaa cards.  Although I personally do not celebrate these two holidays, doesn't mean I can't make some cards.  In fact, it was a bit of a challenge.  I found 1 piece of Kwanzaa paper at the craft store and a small package of embellishments on a clearance rack.   I love the bright colors and geometric designs and managed to make and send 15 Kwanzaa cards to SAS4Kids.  Here's one of the cards I made:
I made a few Hanukkah cards, too.

I didn't find any Hanukkah paper at the store, so I just stuck with blue, white and silver.

It would be great if you joined the fun at the

Double Trouble Challenge

Wow!  It's been months since I entered the challenge at

 Double Trouble.

A friend told me that I've been missed, and I decided to remedy that by making the card below:

When you find yourself kind of stuck in the mud, it's always nice to have a caring friend to help pull you out.

I'll also be entering this in the

Crafter's Cafe Challenge: AG with an animal option

Minion Making

This card was very time consuming, but worth it for a little guy who hasn't been receiving my cards the last few years.  I made him cards, I sent him cards, but I have no clue who received them or the gifts inside.   He and his family moved and no one told me.

I finally have their new address.

He better receive this card!

Have a great day!

In Pennsylvania there are lots of apple orchards, and fall is the time for apple picking and apple baking.   I can't wait for apple cake, apple pie, applesauce, apple dumplings, apple crisp, apple cobbler.... and the list goes on.  I guess that's why this cute little stamp from Whimsy Stamps caught my eye and ended up on my Fall card for this challenge.
