Gone!

That's right, my February blogposts are now done and February is gone!

This card is for Outlawz Twisted Thursday  Challenge (TT022813) - Sports Card
and follows the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches   # 187

Going Twice

And this is my second post for today.
For this card I followed the sketch from Outlaws Wednesday Sketch Challenge (SC022713)

and threw in a 'Splash of Red' for Inky Impressions Challenge IIC#99.

(The digi images are from Paper Smoochies.)

Going once

Here is Blog Post # 1 for today;
I made this card for Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge ( CC0226 ) and used the sketch from Pals Paper Arts Challenge PPA#153
PPA153w-frame

as my guide in making this card:

The background eggs are clear embossed for a shine the camera just didn't catch.

CTMH card class 2/26/2013

Here are the cards we made yesterday under the tutelage of Joyce Houck, CTMH consultant.
I love the new navy/white chevron ribbon!

Bunny Love

Aren't these bunnies just adorable.  It is a digital image from Meljen's Designs.  I love the details and the vintage look of these cute little (or big if you want to enlarge them) guys.  You should check out the new Bunny Cupcake, Mouse Cupcake, and Teddy Bear Cupcake digi's she just released.  I plan to enter this card in their current challenge:  Meljen's Designs Challenge # 148 - Seeing Spots.

Moon Who????

The gals at Outlawz Sunday CAS Challenge  (CAS022413 ) requested that we moon them this week.   This big eyed digi owl, by Margaret Bucklew and available at the Digi Ditto Blog,  might be just the fellow to enjoy a full moon.

Oh Boy!

Good morning everyone!

Today I needed to make a baby card for a little boy who has joined a loving family with 3 older sisters.
I am so happy for them all.

I used today's Mojo Sketch with a lot of flipping and moving

and will be entering this card in the Mojo Monday 282 Challenge.

Case this Sketch

Almost forgot to post this card.

Yes, that is another piece of tissue paper box on this card.  I found it when I went back to cleaning up my table.  I also uncovered a sheet of white CS 5 1/2 x 7 1/2.  I scored it at 4  1/4" as usual and bordered the shorter side (3 1/4") with a scalloped punch, edged the card in blue, followed this sketch

from CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge # 16,  pierced around the edge of the piece from the tissue box, and assembled the card.  Two more things off the table.
Also entering this card in the following:

Crafty Ann's Challenge  #83 - Love Actually

"Less is More" Week #108 - Paper Piercing

Bling it up!

When I saw the Muse photo today with the squiggly black line framing the stamping it reminded me of something I saw in Technique Junkies Newsletter.  In the recent issue (F/M 2013) there is a technique that has been a favorite at the TJ yahoo group.  It's called Block Fill.  Thought I'd give it a try.  In keeping with the flowers and colors in the photo, I decided to use a freebie digi image from Beccy's Place.

I'll be entering this card in:
Muse Challenge # 6
Beccy's Place Birthday Challenge # 4 - Use a Birthday Bash Freebie
Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge Feb 25th - Bring on the Bling
Sentimental Sundays Challenge # 143 - Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers
Fab n Funky Challenge #159 - Flower Power
One Stitch at a Time - Challenge 152 - Use a Digi

Hero Card

I hadn't made a Hero Card for Operation Write Home so far this week.  No time like the present.  This paper was laying in among the clutter on the table and the color was perfect for Challenge # 41 at Dynamic Duos - Monochromatic Teal Blues.

I used the sketch

from Freshly Made Sketches # 74 for my layout.

I'll be entering this card in both challenges, as well as,

Addicted to CAS #7 - It's Raining Men

CTMH Card Class 2/19/2013

We were instructed to bring a tea cup to class yesterday.  Before class started, Joyce treated us to a Caribbean Tea Party.  She had brought several teas and goodies back from her CTMH cruise earlier this month.  It was so nice of her to share them with us.  Thank you, Joyce.  The coconut tea was delicious and really hit the spot with that yucky weather yesterday.

For those of you new to my blog, Joyce Houck is responsible for my current card making addiction.  Not only that, she has basically taught me most of what I know about stamping and card making at her weekly card making classes.  I fondly call her my Obie-Wan and, more importantly, my friend.  Joyce is a Close to My Heart (CTMH) Consultant and has her own blog here:
Each week after class I post the cards we made the day before.  Here are yesterday's cards:

We were using the CTMH stamp of the month, only available until the end of February.

What time is it in Australia? Specifically at Beccy's Place?

Once I missed the deadline at one of the challenges at Beccy's Place.  I'm never going to let that happen again.

My mother will be receiving this circle card for Mother's Day this year.
(The circle card was cut using a Spellbinders doily die.  I used La Belle Vie paper, Black tulle, Cream Sheer Ribbon and Hat Pin all by CTMH.  The flowered circle image with "For You" sentiment is a Beccy Muir digi, which I colored with CTMH alcohol markers and added off white liquid pearls.)

First and foremost, I will be entering this in Beccy's Place Birthday Bash Challenge # 3 - Anything but a rectangle.
Beccy is celebrating this month with weekly challenges and by having a Comment Giveaway every day.  Check out her blog and leave a comment.  (Tell her Debi sent you!)  I love it there and her digi images are great.  The flower wreath I used on this card is one of her images that I won on her blog.   Thanks Beccy!

I will also be entering this in the following challenges:
Sentimental Sundays - Lace and Pearls
Kenny K's Krafty Krew - Going Round in Circles
Old Back Porch - 52 Card Pickup 2.7
Ribbon Carousel - Love is in the Air
Unique Crafters February Challenge - Lace or Fabric
Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge - PWC246 - Circle Cards
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge # 115- Anything Goes
Perfect Sentiments Challenge PSC67 - Floral Fantasia

No more snow!!!!

I really didn't think I'd be making any more snow cards this winter.   I was also hoping I wouldn't be seeing any more snow this winter either.  But a few challenges are still requesting snowflakes/winter themed cards and the rain we got today had a lot of that white stuff mixed in with it.

I used a digi stamp from Scribbles by Sandy for the sentiment, some odds and ends of paper Joyce had given me, a few dazzles, and a snowflake embossing folder.

This card is for the following challenges:
Cards in Envy - Polks Dots and/or Stripes
Digi Haven - Snow/Snowflakes Challenge

How can it be Noon already?

Wanted to post this card for  Challenge # 7 at Inkspirational before going to my CTMH card class at 1pm today.  So I really need to hurry.

This was their photo inspiration for the challenge.

And here is my card:

I used a digi image by A. Fenton at Outlawz and will also be entering this in the Outlawz Creative Freebie Challenge CFC21013.

You Who - it's Monday

Time for another Mojo sketch:

Don't know what made me think of the neon index cards in the drawer.  But think of them, I did.  Perhaps because of the bright welcome to be received when one opens the Mojo Monday blog each week.  Be that as it may, they became the bright circles on my card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge # 281.

The three circles reminded me of the 3-2-1 challenge ( use 3 of one thing, 2 of another and 1 of something else) at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  So I added two words (computer generated) and one string of rick rack.  The cute little owl is a digi image by Michelle Perkett Studio.

Finally this card will be headed to Send a Smile 4 Kids and eventually to a child in one of 8 Children's Hospitals, but first I will enter it in their current  CAS Cards 4 Kids Challenge.

Now I'm going to clean out my kitchen cabinet, remove the remaining dishes from a set I bought piece by piece at the grocery store 30+ years ago, and replace them with the beautiful new set my Mother bought me for Christmas this year.  It's time.

Oh my, almost forgot to include a photo of my card.
