Minion Making

This card was very time consuming, but worth it for a little guy who hasn't been receiving my cards the last few years.  I made him cards, I sent him cards, but I have no clue who received them or the gifts inside.   He and his family moved and no one told me.

I finally have their new address.

He better receive this card!

Have a great day!

Starburst cards

The little boy who lives next door will soon be celebrating his 7th birthday.  His party theme this year is Super Mario Brothers.  I was lucky to find a great card on Pinterest featuring Mario.  That led me to Jessica Lewis' blog, scrap sprinkle crop, where I found excellent instructions.

Here is a picture of her card:

This is my version:

It took a while, but I managed to cut all the right shapes and sizes using various dies and punches. The papers and stamps are from CTMH.

And while I had that pack of papers all spread out, I made another birthday card for my grandson, who will be 20 on Monday.

Using birthday, alphabet and balloon dies from My Favorite Things, it was relatively easy to put this card together.

With the colored card base, I only needed a small scrap of dp for in the middle.

Double Trouble Challenge #56

Today's Double Trouble Challenge got me into double trouble.
After making a birthday card with balloons that fly and sponging around the edges, I decided to make a second.

I tried to make the second card a bit more feminine than the first.
The digi image is from Bugaboo Stamps.  Both are fussy cut and colored with markers.

Child's Birthday Card

This card was made with the current
It features 1 layer of paper, which is actually glued to the back of a 5.25 x 4.0 card,  1 word sentiment, CELEBRATE,
and 1 embellishment, the little bow on the elephant's tail.
The Birthday Elephant digi stamp is from Bugaboo Stamps and is colored with pencils.  The sentiment is a CTMH stamp.  And I never could have made that tiny bow without my
I used Glossy Accents on the 2 balloons to make them shiny, and it really warped the card stock, which I'm not too happy about.  It's the first time I tried GA.  Any suggestions?

Bears Everywhere & CTMH Card Class 9/26/17

The other day, while shopping, my friend and I came across one inexpensive sheet of cute teddy bear stickers.
We had one of those discussions ... are you going to buy them?... well, do you want to buy them? ... I don't need to buy them...
really, I don't need to buy them either, but they are cute....
so who's going to buy them?... Okay, then. I'm going to buy them!
And I did!
Not that it mattered which one of us bought them.  They are going to end up at Send a Smile 4 Kids.

A is for Austin + CTMH Card Class 7/18/17

Tuesday was our CTMH card class at Joyce's.
One of our gals, who used to be a regular and has had some health issues preventing her from attending, asked Joyce to pass on the name and address of a very ill 6 year old boy who loves to receive cards, especially anything with an "A" on it because he knows that's the first letter of his name.

I'm certain he will enjoy this waterfall card.

I used a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers, 13 stamps from 7 different CTMH stamp sets, a digi ant from Deedee's Digi set Life's a Picnic, and those cute little ant brads are from Eyelet Outlet.

Challenges I am entering
2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #4 - Anything Goes with a critter (alligator)

And I can't forget to post the 4 cards we made at Tuesday's class:

 That's all for now.

Enjoy your day!
