Waiting for the glue to dry....

There is just one card left to put into the box of cards that is headed to Send A Smile 4 Kids and I'm waiting for the Liquid Glass (CTMH product) to dry on the balloons.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share a couple cards with you.

A few weeks ago, I made an A2 card similar to this one for the little boy next door.   I should have made 2 right then, because there is another very special young man celebrating his birthday today.  Of course, I didn't think of that then.  So here is the special birthday card I made for Leif.

I had just a small piece of the background leftover which I used to make this:

I thought I'd take a quick  picture of the card that is drying to share with you, too.

This is a digital image from Bugaboo Stamps.

The gloss on the balloons is finally dry, so I am off to the Post Office....

Here is the sketch for this week:

When I saw this sketch, it immediately reminded me of a pretty stamp, by Honey Do Crafts, that I purchased at Petticoat Parlor in Florida a few years ago.
Here's my card.
The pretty paper is from CTMH.

I hope you'll have time to play along at

 Here is this week's sketch:

With Mother's Day over it's time to start making Father's Day cards.  I made this slimline card using a layered sheet by Crafter's Companion of Popcorn the Bear.

The sentiment was a cricut cut from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.

looks like it is a fun one.

This birthday card should meet the criteria of Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3, and the Dies R Us Challenge.

The Happy Birthday frame die is from My Favorite Things.  The stitched circle die underneath it is from Lawn Fawn.  Tulip paper and stamps are from SU.  I used a border punch on the bottom strip.  The butterflies were stamped on peach paper, covered with glitter film and then fussy cut.

Now, I better hurry and get it in the mailbox before the mail carrier comes and goes!

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #634

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches
Here is this week's sketch:

and here is the card I made for inspiration.

I don't often do heat embossing, but I wanted the white on the tree to really stand out on this mini slimline card.
The tree stamp and sentiment are by SU.

I hope you'll have time to play along at
this week.

Double Trouble Challenge #96

Troublemaker at Double Trouble Challenge is stuck on the letter "T".  Hence the current challenge is to make a Tall card using Thin Dies.

I used rectangular Dies from LDRS Creative and a wreath die from SU.   The Twinkley little snowman is a dazzles sticker, as are the Two birds.  Teal is the color of the background mat and the bottom wreath.  I added Three snowflakes and tiny red gems in Three sets of Three.  The Merry Christmas, a CTMH stamp, was stamped directly on printable glitter paper.

This looks so much prettier in person with all the white glitter against the red glitter mat.

For another fun snowman card, check out my previous post where Olaf makes an appearance for Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Here is this week's sketch:

I decided to use this sketch to make my brother in law a birthday card.
That handsome piranha is a digital image from Whimsy Stamps.  The die cut is from Shady Lane Impressions.  And the circle and oval shapes were cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #601

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches

This is the first card I made for Andrea's sketch.  Sketches are basically a great starting point.  When I posted this card below the TMS sketch, I felt I missed one of the key points, the 3 shapes.  I was going to put a seagull at the bottom for my third element, but he obviously flew off.  I know not where.

I decided to make another card, now that I'm back in PA and have my entire stash at hand.
I am much happier with this version.
Since the card is a mini slimline, 3.5"x6", I decided to make and decorate an envelope, too.

I hope you'll have time to play along at

Occasionally we have prizes and this week
Andrea is donating a prize: 6 assorted colored mini slimline envelopes from Taylored Expressions.
