Red Hats for Christmas

This adorable snowman image is from Gecko Gals.  I love his festive bow tie and his red top hat.

It is on a free collage sheet available here.  You will really want to hop over and collect a few of these freebies!

For this card, I decided to reduce the size of the white card base and then mount the card on top an A-2 die cut.

And this is the card I sent to all the Delightful Dazzling Dames in my Red Hat Chapter.

The die cut ornament frame is dark purple with embossed silver foil in the inside and a red glitter die cut hat.

These were fun to make because they are going to a group of really fun gals!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #583

 Tuesday Morning Sketches

Welcome to my blog, where I have

It's hard to believe that we are in the last 4 weeks before Christmas!

Here's the sketch for this week and my card.

Is everyone as busy making Christmas cards as I am?  If I took the time to count, I probably have plenty.  But they are so fun to make.
For this card I used some old CTMH paper; the ornament is from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge; the letters in JOY are MFT die cuts and the small scalloped piece is a SU die cut.  I got plenty of glue on my fingers with this one, but no ink.

I hope you'll play along at
this week.

Teddy Bear Joy

It's almost time for the Catch the Bug Christmas in July Challenge.   Thought I'd do a practice run by making a card for this week's Catch the Bug Color Challenge.

Here's a closeup that shows off the sparkle of the card.

The digi image was printed on white and kraft card stock.  Then the bear and the word JOY were fussy cut from the kraft and glued onto the white. The cup and hat were colored with pencils.  The edging around the circle was done with a marker.  The circle was punched and both ovals were die cut and then embossed.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and will be enter that challenge as well.

Drafty here

I'm glad this penguin, a digi image by Connie Fong, is all bundled up because it has been in my draft folder.

Did you know that if you are writing a post and do not hit the orange Publish button when you are finished, the blog post is saved in your draft folder?
I thought I had published this card, which was to be my entry in the Double Trouble Challenge #42, and in reality I never did.
Senior Moment!
It's too late for that challenge but it will be perfect for the following challenges:
Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - Animals (The pretty white lacey layer was die cut on my Cuttlebug.)
Crafty Catz Challenge #484 - AG with option of spots and/or stripes
Dragonfly Dreams Challenge - Christmas/Winter
