heARTful stamping challenge

If you've looked at Chris's Stamped Blessings blog lately, you've seen several things she's made using the Close to My Heart September Stamp of the Month Set, Just Treats.
I thought I'd change one of the stamps a bit, blocking out the word "Winter" and substituting "Birthday".
The CTMH paper is called Grateful Heart and is perfect for fall cards and projects.

Here's one of Chris's cards, which I totally love, using the same stamp:

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #411 with Bugaboo Stamps

The theme for Tueday Throwdown Challenge # 411 is Complimentary Colors.  Our wonderful sponsor this week, Bugaboo Digi Stamps,
has such a variety of wonderful digi images that the Tuesday Throwdown Design Team has been able to give you a lot of inspiration.  Please check out their projects.  You will be amazed.
I've used a digi image called Fall Pumpkin Trio
and the Complimentary Colors, Orange and Blue

I've printed the image three times and layered the pumpkins, bird, leaf and flowers as you can see in this photo.
We'd love to have you join us at
for this week's challenge

Odds & Ends

When I go to CTMH card class at Joyce's, I just happen to sit at a spot where Joyce often sits when she is crafting.  Consequently, there are usually little bits of this and that on the table.  Last week I spied this butterfly stamp mounted and ready to stamp.  There was a piece of white scrap paper in reach and a black momento ink pad.  I just couldn't resist.  And then there was this scrap of red dp and a roll of ribbon close by.  With a nod from Joyce, I brought the 3 items home, colored the butterfly and made this card.
Bitten by the Bug Challenge - Anything Goes with the Cricut (The Happy Birthday is a Cricut cut from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.)
Dream Valley Challenge #107 - Pearls or Gems
Stamping Sensations Challenge - I Spy something beginning with a B - Butterfly;Birthday

On this past Saturday, Joyce had her annual Christmas Card Extravaganza.  After signing in, we each made a tag using some new CTMH Texture Paste and a stencil made on the cricut with new Stencil Sheets.  I thought the tag would "look good on a card", and it does.

We made a total of 8 Christmas cards, which I'll show you in another post later this week.  For one of the cards we die cut a sentiment from the green cs which I used on this card.  So there's a hole behind the tag?  Who's gonna know?

Somethin' 'bout a truck + CTMH Card Class 9/18/18

While looking through my box of images, I came across this truck and thought it would be perfect for a masculine card.
Since the guy receiving this card is a retired dairy farmer, I couldn't resist adding a line from Old MacDonald as my bottom border.

Double Trouble Challenge #10

I'm back ....
with a Thank You card for this week's Double Trouble Challenge.

Seems like I have a lot of irons in the fire right now.  And I have neglected my blog and some challenges I regularly enter.  So sorry.

This morning I taught a card class for my Red Hat gals.  Before I returned everything we used to their respective spots in my craft hole, I put together this card, using 3 colors, a punny saying, and a critter.

Double Trouble Challenge #10 - 3 colors and a stamped image, punny saying, and enter the Brown Sugar Challenge

Birthday Card for 1 year old

This card was designed with my BFF's grandson in mind.
He loves Sesame Street.

I used a Sesame Street coloring page for the image which pops up when the card is opened.  I also fussy cut a second head and attached with a spring so it wobbles.
The sentiment stamps are from CTMH.

Sweet Stampers Challenge #24 - Bright Colors

And usually I make an extra card from the leftovers so I'm not storing little scraps......

Thanks for stopping by.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #409 with Sparkle n Sprinkle

It was so nice of Sparkle n Sprinkle to sponsor

I hope you'll be able to play along.

Sparkle n Sprinkle has a great selection of stamps, both rubber and digital, glitter, embossing powders, cutting files, all your necessary supplies, and more.  You'll definitely want to visit their store, blog and fb page.
Today I used a colored image and a sentiment from the Hummingbirds and Flowers Digital Stamp Set provided by SNS for our design team to use.
Making a one layer card was definitely a challenge for me.
I never make one layer cards.
And I don't think I ever made one using digital stamps.
It really wasn't that hard.
Please join the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week by entering your One Layer Card.

Challenges I am entering:
Kitty Bee Designs Challenge #126 - AG; optional twist:Animals
Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #217 - All Creatures Great and Small
