Most of my day I spent finishing the book I was reading.
It was one of those free Kindle books and I really enjoyed it.
If you have an opportunity to read West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge, I highly recommend it.
I did manage to take photos of this card, which I made yesterday.
Flower die by Pink and Main, sentiment die by MFT, embossing folder by Stampin Up

Challenges:
Frilly and Funky Boutique Challenge - So Delicate; Little Red Wagon Challenge #585 - Die-ing to Get Crafty; The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Die Cuts and/or Embossing folders; Through the Craft Room Door Challenge week of Jan. 19th - AG
We had some sad news on Christmas Eve.
Making Sympathy cards isn't one of my favorite projects.
But you gotta do what you gotta do.
I've used CTMH papers and SU sentiment, embossing folder and die.
I am sharing this card at the following challenges: Allsorts Challenge wk 6034 - Sparkle n Shine (I've used adhesive glitter film from Stamp On It to add the glitter and shine to the frame.); The House That Stamps Built Challenge D2320 - AG; Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Sparkle n Shine;
First thing this morning, my mother called. She asked me to make her a really pretty sympathy card for the family of a friend who just passed on. My plan for today didn't exactly include this but I got busy nonetheless.
Boy, did I mess up my craft space using at least a dozen dies, papers, stamps, my bowzmaker, embossing powder. Rather than tackling the chaos, I thought I'd post the card instead.
Mom was pleased when I gave it to her.
The pine cone paper is from CTMH.
Sentiments are stamps from SU, both heat embossed.
There are 10 different papers in this spray and 8 different dies from SU, Sizzix, and ODB!
Maybe, I shouldn't put everything away until after she puts it in the mailbox.
Hmmm
Challenges:
Crafters Castle December Challenge #36 - AG; A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge #129 - AG; A Perfect Time to Craft December Challenge #12 - AG; Classic Design December Challenge #12 - AG; Crafts Galore Encore Challenge #82 - AG; Craft-Dee Bowz December Challenge - AG; Die Cut Divas Challenge - AG; Love to Craft December Challenge #53 - AG

My mother called earlier and said she needed a sympathy card.
Gee. Make a card or do housework?
Easy decision!
Actually, I cased one of the cards from the Stampin Up catalog, with a few additions and modifications. Two flowers are totally die cuts. The middle flower is stamped, then die cut, then sponged around the edge. And here is the inside:
Challenges I am entering today:
As You Like It Challenge - Favorite color to pair with pink (I love dark green with pink, it really makes the pink pop!); Aud Sentiments Challenge #257 - AG with a sentiment; Creative Knockouts Challenge - Finish the Inside; Through the Craft Room Door Week of Aug 11th - AG; Die Cut Divas August Challenge - AG; Just Add Ink Challenge #518 - Just add "T" (I added twine and lots of texture.)
I think I'll save that housework for another day and make chocolate chip cookies instead.
Thanks for visiting.
Have a good one!
She always makes very elegant cards.
Two of the six layers are actually behind the teal card base. When the card is open you still get the effect of the layers.
I used flower, leaf and butterfly cuts from the CTMH Flower Market cartridge.
