September Progressive Challenges

Today I am sharing the cards I made for two progressive challenges.  Each month you play, using their digi, you receive a new digi for the following month.

My first 2 cards are for the September DOTM Challenge at Imagine That!.  The Meerkat digis are so cute I just couldn't make meerly one card!

I am also entering this second card in the Something, Anything, Everything Challenge #93 at Double Trouble. I've included a pumpkin as my harvest element and am also entering the Dies R Us Challenge #177.  The scalloped circle dies are from Spellbinders, the brown circle die is from Sizzix, and the foliage dies are from Impression Obsession.

The second progressive challenge in which I always like to participate is at The Outlawz.  This month Hettie Clare Art has gifted us with a really cute image called The Little Ballerina.

Here is my submission for the September Progressive Challenge:

Candlewick Ovals by Spellbinders frame the digi image, which is partially colored and also paper pieced.  I know my niece will love receiving this for her birthday.

Thanks so much for visiting!

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge # 524

This Beautiful Bloom stamp and die from My Favorite Things turned out to be perfect for their current sketch challenge.

The flower is colored with pencils and waterbrushed to blend.  The middle one also has a heavy layer of clear Wink of Stella to give it a pretty shine and popped on a piece of craft foam die cut in the same shape.  I used an embossing folder from CTMH to emboss the top and bottom of the card.  There is a light pink vellum banner under the sentiment banner.  The sentiment is also from MFT.

Challenges:

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #524 - see above; The Flower Challenge #52 - Embossing; Dies R Us Challenge #161 - AG using a brand of dies, MFT, that DRU sells; Creations in Pink Challenge #15 - AG if mainly pink; Crafty Hazelnut's January Patterned Paper Challenge - AG with patterned paper

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #403 with All Dressed Up Stamps

For this week's new Tuesday Throwdown Challenge, I've used a homemade cloud stencil to create the background for the digital image Summer Swing by All Dressed Up Stamps, the sponsor for this challenge.

All Dressed Up Images can be found in their  Etsy Shop.  The All Dressed Up Blog has lots of inspiration and fun challenges.  And they also have a fun Facebook Group that they would love for you to join.

It would be lovely if you'd share some of your stenciling at

All Dressed Up July Challenge #83 - Anything Goes with an All Dressed Up image
Show Us Your Pussycats Challenge #32 - AG with a cat

Scrappy Mojo Monday

This morning I was getting together with a few Red Hats friends to make cards.  Because of forecasted heavy rain today, I took the card kits I had prepared and the necessary crafting supplies out to my car last night.  Consequently, although I had time to layout my Mojo Monday card before I left, I had to wait until I returned home and had my tools at hand to assemble it and share it with you.
Using scraps from one of the cards I had prepared for the Hatters, this is my contribution for Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #498.

I am also entering these challenges:
Glitter n Sparkle Challenge #240 - White + 1 other color

Here are two of the sample cards I made
for our Red Hat class this morning:

I usually make up 2 variations as samples for the girls.  Their heads were really spinning on this one, because these papers are all double sided and there were so many combinations.  The butterfly, rose and sentiment piece were all cut using CTMH cartridges, and the stamps were also CTMH.  I had told the girls that today was my 35th wedding anniversary so we would be making an anniversary card.  One gal turned her nose up, obviously not thrilled with making an anniversary card.  As I try to send everyone home with cards they like and can use, I designed this as my promised anniversary card also suitable for many occasions.

Thanks for stopping by!
