Double Trouble Challenge # 29 GD Card #2

Double Trouble " Brown Bag-It Day" Challenge is in its second and final week.  Won't you join the fun?

THING 1: Trouble Maker
says, "In celebration of National Brown Bag-It Day, I've asked the Unknown Comic from the late Gong Show to inspire our challenge. Use Kraft paper, even a paper bag for your project."

Don't get the Gong, come play aLong!

Don't stop here...for more fun check out the optional Sketch challenge below.

THING 2: Double Dare
says, "What a great sketch to use for Kraft as an accent in your design, so many choices of what panel(s) to use."

It's Optional...if you use this sketch you can also submit to Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge #409 between the dates of May 28th - June 4th. Link your project HERE and you will receive an additional chance at the Double Trouble Random Draw.

Use the DT cards below for ideas or use your own interpretation of the sketch. Feel free to change the orientation... rotate the sketch or use its mirror image. You may also modify shapes as long as we can see the basic sketch in your project.

THING 3: Twisted Sister
says, "In my opinion I've been berry, berry good. Celebrate National Pick Strawberry Day with me and include strawberry(s) in your project and you can earn an additional chance at our random draw."

Although not required, the sketch offers a perfect opportunity to use strawberry(s) as an embellishment or focal point.

It was so awesome to be adopted into the
as a crazy cousin for the month of May
that I made a second card.
For this card I used a precolored digi image of strawberries from Becci's Place, a kraft card base and kraft borders and I've followed the sketch above from Challenge #409 at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.

Sympathy Card & Birthday Card

Yesterday's project was created out of necessity but inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest

The inside sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.
The rest of the stamps are from Close to My Heart.
Ten stamps total.
Peeking out from underneath the card is a matching envelope.

Challenges:

Speaking of peeking... here is today's project, a birthday card for my 92 years young, Godmother.
Where she lives, it is not unusual for a bear to visit.
You'll find a similar card here on Pinterest.
 These are CTMH stamps.
The wood grained paper is from one of the new CTMH paper packs.
I love the little design across the bottom.

Mojo Monday Birthday Card

Today was a busy day.
I taught a card class this morning and then we had lunch together.  I always follow that with a stop at one of my favorite stores.
Then, once home, there are things to put away
before I have time to "play".

Mojo Monday Sketch #515 gave me the framework for the fun birthday card I made using a cute image from Whimsey Stamps called Cupcake Treat, which I colored with colored pencils.

Challenges:
Crafter's Castle Challenge #17 - AG option "Show us what you color with" I used colored pencils.
Stamplorations May Challenge - Stamps & Cupcakes

Here are the cards the girls made at this morning's card class:

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Joyful Stars Close to My Heart May Blog Hop

Welcome to the May
Close to My Heart Joyful Stars Blog Hop.

Have some fun hopping between the blogs of this group of talented Close to My Heart consultants, and me, where we share creative projects using CTMH products.
The new catalog is out so I'm sure you'll be seeing lots of new products.
This past Saturday I attended Joyce Houck's annual Spring Fling, a fun get together where Joyce introduces some of the new items in the catalog.  This is one of the cards we made.  The yellow flower and green leaves and stems were already die cut for us.  We simply stamped and colored them.  Then, one by one, we cut an opening in the front of our cards using the same dies.  Then we glued the flower to the inside of the card.

I saved the pieces that I removed from the card front, stamped them and tucked them away to make this card.

The papers I've used are from the True Love and the Sweet Girl Paper Packs.  The flower Stamp Set and matching Thin Cuts are called Floral Delivery.
If you'd like to see the other cards we made at the Spring Fling,
just click here.
Now, since this is a blog hop,

you might have arrived here from  Marie Flayer's blog.
Your next stop is Andrea Sherman's blog.
The hop is circular.
If you are just starting here,
simply continue hopping until you find your way back,
making the full circle.

Challenges I am entering:
Cards 4 Galz Challenge #96 - Recipe: 1 image; 1 sentiment; 2 patterned papers; 3 embellishments
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #512 - Happy Birthday
Crazy 4 Challenges #482 - Scraps

Tea-rrific Card

These coffee/tea cards are addictive.  It must be the caffeine!  I am trying to prep for a class on Monday and had one lonely strip of double sided paper leftover.  Not any more!

The tea pot die cut is from IO; the sentiment stamp is CTMH.

Another entry for the

One Layer Father's Day Card

Time to start working on some Father's Day cards.
This will go right on the pile to SAS4K.
Thought I'd make this a one layer card on a kraft card base.

The sentiment is CTMH.

Mother's Day tea cups

This coming Sunday is Mother's Day.  Last week I mailed off all the Mother's Day cards I had made to SAS4K.  This set of cards will be set aside for next year.
I have absolutely no clue where I got the tea cup stamp.
I stamped it on 3 colors of cs, fussy cut the cups, and stacked them.    The sentiment is definitely a CTMH stamp.
The papers are from Stampin Up.
(I received several comments on the background paper on yesterday's card.
It was part of this same paper pack.)

In a set of miscellaneous stamps, a freebie from my Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, I noticed a simple little stamp perfect for the current Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
And once again, a card is born....

CTMH Spring Fling

Today was Joyce Houck's annual Spring Fling,
a day to get together with friends, make cards, see and try out some of the products in the new CTMH catalog.  Circulating from table to table, we each made four different cards, stopped for lunch, and then made four more cards.  And there were door prizes, raffles and wonderful desserts.
Here are the cards we made:

A fun day was had by all
except Joyce.
She was home sick!
Thanks for a great day, Joyce.
Hope you feel better soon!

******************
I have one more card to show you today.
It's a CAS card, not my forte.
The stamps are CTMH.  The actual card measures 4 x 5.25 and is mounted on a 4.25 x 5.5 of brown cs.  This gives you a nice contrasting border when the card is closed and when it is open.  The little hearts on the top right are stamped and have just a drop of Liquid Glass on them to make them shine.  The scallops are a stamp, too.  I can't believe I got them straight!

Challenges:
2019 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop ( I can't believe there are over 300 entries and it is only the second day!)
