Three Tenors

This is my second card for today.

I hope you'll have time to scroll down to see the card I made for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Double Trouble Challenge is one of my favorites.

This week Thing 1's theme is "SomeThing, AnyThing, and EveryThing".

Using a curtain fold card, I've created a small stage for these three singing turtles (SU stamps), which should make Thing 3 happy.  And the fun fold is for one of Double Trouble's former partners, Creative Creases Challenge, which should make Thing 2 happy.

I hope these 3 crooners will make the recipient happy, too.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

That Wintry Country Feeling

Double Trouble's current theme is "That Wintry Country Feeling",  I think a lot of the US is experiencing that right now.

Luckily we are far enough south to elude the cold, wind, ice and snow!  We don't miss it one bit!  But I do miss many of the items I left in my stash up north.

Here is the card I made for the Double Trouble Challenge #157

(The digi images are from Gerda Steiner Designs.  The digi faces left and then I flipped it to make a second image facing right.  Printed, fussy cut, and colored with markers,)

I will also be entering this in the Farm Quest Challenge #44, where the theme is Winter Sports.

Thanks for dropping by!

Baseball Birthday Card

Today I made a card for my grandson, who will be 19 in a couple weeks.  He lives and breathes to play baseball.  When he was much younger, before T-ball, he loved fire trucks and was going to be a fireman when he grew up.  We worried about the dangers he would encounter as a firefighter.  Then he discovered baseball and things changed.  So far playing baseball, he has broken his arm, sprained his ankle twice, and last fall took a ball to the face and broke his nose in 2 places.   But he is always ready when the Ref says "batter up".

(I used a pinstriped card base from a SU Paper Pumpkin kit and random stamped a baseball cap on it to create my background.  The baseball was from the kit, as well.)

This card follows the sketch for

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #680.

The circle sentiment is a MFT die and the stamped sentiment is from the MFT Big Birthday Sentiments Stamp Set.

Additional Challenges:

Seize the Birthday Challenge #275 - Embossing (wet or dry).  The red card stock is embossed.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #309 - Make Your Own Background and/or Birthday with a sentiment

Numbered Cards

Every year I make special cards for my great granddaughters.  This year Luna turned 3 right before Christmas

This is a top fold card with an inside step to pop up the cake.
Unfortunately, I built the inside on the back of the front so when you open the card you see this.  Whoops! I could not figure a way to fix it, and I was not starting only.

and Lahna turns 5 in a few days.

Here are my girls decorating Christmas cookies.

Right before Thanksgiving,

they welcomed a new baby sister, Lia, to their family.

That makes 4 great-granddaughters, Laila, Lahna, Luna and Lia!
