Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #238

Time for an Easter Recipe at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge.

Ingredients:
  • 1 image,
  • 1 paper,
  • 1 egg or more
  • pastel colors pictured here:

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs, which is currently having a huge sale you won't want to miss
I chose Little Egg Chick as my image.  It can be found here in the Meljen's Design Store.

The image has been printed twice, with portions fussy cut and popped.  I couldn't resist a little glitter on the eggshell 'hat'.

My talented teamies have all prepared something for this week's Easter theme using more images available in Meljen's store. Please take a moment to have a look see at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog and their individual blogs as well.  I hope you'll be joining us for this week's fun challenge.

Paper and thick pink twine are CTMH.
All Cricut cuts, including the card shape,
were made using CTMH cricut cartridges Art Philosophy and Artiste.
The inside sentiment is a Craft Lounge stamp.

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

MM + AHSC

Going for some simple cards today.
First, a tall & skinny Mojo Monday card suitable for a wedding:
Normally, I would be complaining about the tall & skinny sketch at Mojo Monday.  But I really like the way this turned out!  (3.5 x 5.5)

and, second,  a sympathy card for today's
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:

Yeah, I kind of just used some things floating around on my craft table.  Didn't have enough mojo to look for pattern papers, etc.  There is way too much stuff on the table right now, anyway.  Plus - it needs a good cleaning, so I don't have to sponge the next card I make because it got dirty during construction.
All the stamps used are CTMH.  I love the pussywillow branches stamp, one of the first signs of spring.

Challenges:

Aud Sentiments Challenge #128 - Anything Goes + Sentiment
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Anything Goes with Ribbon

Color My Heart Color Dare #135 - Champagne (base) & Chocolate (ink)

Stop back tomorrow for a new Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Design Team Card.
and
Wednesday I have an eggsrta special surprise!

This card has been a work in progress all week.  The pop-up card design was the theme for the March Scrapbook Blessings Club Challenge.  The cherry blossoms in opposite corners are a digi from A Day for Daisies, the sponsor for the SBC Challenge.  Spring is definitely cherry blossom time!  And the sequins were added for The Day for Daisies Challenge #118

Additional challenges:
Digi Galore Challenge - It's All About Her/Mother's Day
Crazy 4 Challenges - Let's Think Spring
Scrapy Land Challenge #14 - Spring/Easter (dies are Spellbinders and Cherry Lynn)

Bunny Time

Things still aren't all that warm here in PA.  We may even be getting a bit of snow tomorrow.  We're already a week into Spring.  My crocus are blooming.  The snow drops are pretty.  But I'm not seeing much green other than the fuzzy blanket I've been cuddling under most of the week while I've been nursing a wicked sore throat.

These cute bunny slippers and sentiment are a digi image from Doodle Pantry.  It was a fairly simple card to put together, a quick color with markers and fussycut for the image, a little embossing, a homemade crocheted circle, a bunny brad from Eyelet Outlet, a piece of chevron ribbon, and some clear skittles for noses.

Guess it's time to get some of these Easter cards in the mail.

Challenges:
Double Click Skittles Challenge #18 - Use a bunny, basket or Easter
Crafty Creations Challenge #285 - Chevrons or Stripes

Is anyone else headed to the Heirloom Stamping Show in Allentown, PA this week-end?
I'm hoping to get there!

Operation Write Home Mid- Month Throwdown

A dear friend, who is not a blogger, has asked me to enter this card for her in the Operation Write Home March Mid-Month Throwdown - Red, White & Blue.  I hope that is allowed because I think her card is awesome!

I think I might have to borrow that stamp!
Love your card, Sybilla!

Monday Sketch Cards

Not feeling my best today, but I'd feel worse if I didn't get these 2 cards posted.
Well, maybe not really worse.  I just have this thing about getting them posted as early as I can.  I've had them made for a while.  I kind of got distracted on another project, making an inside step card with only 3 steps.  The directions are for 4 steps.  I do believe I got it figured out.  Now back to my Monday cards....
For both cards I've used the freebie papers and sentiments from the March Issue of Quick Cards, since it was laying on my craft table.

Card #1 is for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #100:

Birthday Girl

front

inside
My mother asked me to make a birthday card for her to mail to a little girl.  The CTMH Cricut Cartridges, both Art Philosophy and Artiste, really helped me out on this one.  The stamps are CTMH, too.  I added a couple stickers, some glitter on the cupcake frosting, embossed one BG paper and corner punched the other.

Today's Challenges include:
Allsorts Challenge Week 303 - Cakes/Cupcakes
Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge - Pastel Colors for Kids
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge #87 - Something Yummy to East or Drink
Sieze the Birthday Challenge - Focus on the Sentiment - "Birthday Girl"

Kittens and Chicks

Gerde has done it again!
And, just what has Gerde done?, you might ask.
She's supplied us with another cute digi for March's Challenge at Gerde Steiner Designs

I am also entering these challenges:
Challenge Up Your Life #11 - Easter
Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #114   - Bright Spring Colors + Ribbon
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Anything Goes with Ribbon
Fab n Funky Challenge #251 - Spring into Color
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #219 - Favorite Embellishments (I really love the little charms, although they are hard to find in our local stores and expensive .  I picked up a package of these little butterflies on clearance.  When I pulled one off the card, the circle link stayed where it was.  So this little guy is just glued on the card instead of hanging from the bow.)

Easter Digis by Deedee

The colored digis in March's digi set, Right on Track, for Deedee's Progressive Challenge are so darn cute.  Instead of coloring the image, I used the time I saved for fussy cutting this cute little train.

Here are a few more challenges I am entering today:
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Happy Anything
Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge - Easter/Spring Cards 4 Kids
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge #71 - AG with Twist:Spots or Stripes

CTMH Cards 3/17/15 & Enough Green, Already!

First, here are the cards we made at Joyce's CTMH card workshop this afternoon....

Whew! that was a lot of work!

Now, let's get to the green.  I know today is St. Patrick's Day.  I will be making corned beef and cabbage for dinner.  Why?  No clue.  Mostly because I like it and while it isn't one of my DH's favorites, he will humor me once a year.
(I really cheated this year.  I went to the deli at the market, asked to see what the corned beef looked like, it was beautiful, had them cut me a 1" slice, and that's dinner.  I just wasn't into cooking corned beef for hours.  Plus, they sell it in those vacumn sealed packages and you can't tell how lean or fatty the meat actually is.)
Many of the current challenges want to see green cards, or St. Patrick's Day themed cards i.e. leprechauns, shamrocks, luck, pot of gold...  I haven't seen one with a snake theme.  Didn't St. Patrick chase the snakes out of Ireland?   If you're curious about the snake issue, I felt compelled to google it and found this very interesting.  Be that as it may.  Personally, I have never sent a St. Patrick's Day card to anyone.  But I have made one, in honor of the occasion and to enter in the plethora (That was one of my father's favorite words.  Miss you, Dad.) of challenges requesting it.
I've used a Doodle Pantry digi for the shamrock maze and sentiment.

Tuesday Throwdown DT Project

Notice I said project, not card.
That's because Team B at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge got to choose a template from our sponsor, Creations by AR, to use for our design team inspiration projects this week.   I'm so happy to be rejoining my team at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge, and I couldn't have picked a better week to do it!
Since our recent Florida trip included winter golfing for my DH, I decided to use a template called Fore the Golfer and make a  Father's Day golf car.

(Thanks to my DH for supplying the tees and golf ball.  I couldn't believe he even had the perfect color tees!)
Wouldn't this be a fun way to give Dad a certificate for a round of Father's Day Golf?

Please take a moment to admire the other wonderful projects my teammates at Tuesday Throwdown made using templates from Creations by AR.
Need a gift, decoration, favors?  You'll find a great selection of templates and cutting files to make all kinds of projects at the Creations by AR Store.
Enter your card or project featuring more than 1 fold in this week's Tuesday Throwdown Challenge, and you may even win one.

Have a 'mice' birthday!

After sharing a motel room with an uninvited guest, I thought this digi would make a perfect birthday card for a certain CTMH consultant.
I've used a corner punch to create his frame of green glitter paper, and fussy cut the corner flowers from the yellow glitter background paper.  And the cake has some yellow and pink liquid pearls to give it some dimension.

Look what I found!

(Love you stamp is CTMH.)

This is the card I should have posted for February's From the Heart Progressive Challenge using the digital set Loves Me Birdbrain.  Somehow, I forgot to post it.  Guess that makes me a bit of a "birdbrain".
I won't be making that mistake again this month!
Here's my card for the March From the Heart Progressive Challenge using the set Easter Trio:

The cute framed images just screamed "waterfall card" to me.  I sized the digital sentiment to match and hand drew a frame around it, too.  Then there's room on the bottom piece for a personal note.  I chose this glittery striped paper for the springy colors, added butterfly brads and new oregano skittles, then used an aqua blue card base to finish off the card.

I'm also entering this card in the following:
Creative Moments Challenge 63 - Anything Goes/Spring Greens
Bunny Zoe's March Challenge - Spring Colours
Get Creative Challenge #10 - Must have green
Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Ribbons and Brads

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge & CTMH Card Class 3/10

Oh, to be one again!

We had an exhausting day, yesterday, celebrating my granddaughter's birthday.  Not that we did all that much.  It's more like we ate way too much!  But that's what always seems to happen when you go to a buffet.
I don't know why my granddaughter never brings Laila's stroller along when we have an outing.  She's getting way too heavy to carry for very long.  She's not going to fit in a shopping cart much longer, either!
Check out the pink glitter shoes on that babe!

By the time I got home the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #98 for this week had been posted.  With CTMH dottie paper still on the table from making my Mojo Monday card, I got to work creating this card

which I'm entering in the AHSC
I am also entering it in these other challenges:
Craft Your Passion Challenge #252 - Always Anything Goes
Cards in Envy Challenge - Anything Goes with a Bow
Eureka Stamps Challenge #131 - Anything Goes

This afternoon I went to Joyce's CTMH card workshop.  Today we made  4 cards featuring the current Stamp of the Month set.  It's hard to believe it's been almost 3 months since I've seen most of my creative gal pals.  It was wonderful to see them again.
These are the cards I made:

If you like blog hops and are looking for some great ideas,
Joyce sponsor's a monthly CTMH Blog Hop which you can find right HERE.  And if you are looking for more ideas using the
CTMH March Stamp of the Month, check out this blog hop or this blog hop.  And I even found a CTMH paper blog hop using the hopscotch paper.  So you can hop until you drop.

Mojo Madness

My DH challenged me to get this done before I left to take my mother, daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter out to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday.  That gave me 1 hr. to get ready and make the card.  Well.....
Gotta fly.  My hair's still damp!

Today's challenges include:
Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #388
