I really enjoy the look of fussy cutting, and I enjoy the actual act of carefully cutting an image. But sometimes it's difficult to know just how much cutting should take place. This fluffy feline from Doodle Pantry is happily sitting in a bed of flowers, which required some careful cutting. I did have to remove some of the flowers in the image so it would fit on the page. I could have made the image smaller and it all would have fit, but I wanted that gorgeous cat nice and big.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #38 - Use a Doodle Pantry Image
Brown Sugar Challenge #58 - Animals
Sister Act Card Challenge #23 - Anything Goes
Crafty Little Fairies Challenge - Cute n Cuddly Critters
Creative Moments Challenge #25 - Birthday/Anything Goes

Down on the farm
I won a digi stamp from Stamp n Doodle quite some time ago. I chose this stamp specifically because it reminded me of my cousin, Nancy. She and her husband have come back to 'roost', you might say, on the farm where she grew up and we used to play. She has a small flock of chickens and sells the eggs right there at Old House Farm. She grows beautiful sunflowers and delicious heirloom tomatoes. Nancy has fixed up the old room where they used to keep the milk and has a small shop with other odds and ends for sale, including some of my cards. Her dad's birthday is coming up later this month and I saved this digi stamp to make a card for Nancy to give him.
Here are the challenges I am entering with this card:
CCEE Stampers Challenge #1336 - Birthday
Creative Moments Challenge #25 - Birthday/Anything Goes
Stampin' Royalty Challenge #192 - Patterned Paper

There's also one this Saturday, 9/7, in Lansdale, PA.
Head over to her blog,
for more information.
Over the week-end Create with TLC had Scavenger Hunts in both their Etsy Shop and the ArtFire Store. The digi image below is what everyone won simply for being able to count to 33. It's mounted on a teal blue tag, with glittery ribbon. I found some old rub ons in my stash and added them to the BG paper along with a few itty bitty pearls.
This card is on it's way to the following challenges:
Charisma Card Challenge #35 - Fancy Flourishes
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #143 - Spooled Items (tag ribbon)

I have a little bit of unsolicited help with my blog posting this morning.
Meet Sarge. My very annoying psychotic cat.
No ooohing or ahhhhing over this furry feline. To know him, is to fear him.
My first order of business on a Monday is my Mojo Monday card.
