a new card to share with you each week for
My mother celebrated her 91st birthday yesterday.
Here's the special card I made for her.
It is an extended center step fold card.
I found a great video and detailed measurements here.

Time is running out for this month's Outlawz June Progressive Freebie Challenge.
Last month's participants received the darling
Sharing Is Caring digi from The Paper Shelter.
Thank you!
I decided to use the colored version and some of the matching background paper on my card.
Once again I have the pleasure of joining the group at Double Trouble Challenge as a Guest Designer for Challenge #87. The theme for this challenge is "It's Hip to Be a Square".
It seemed to me that today was the perfect day to post this card.
The digi image and sentiment are from the Lawn Ranger set by Imagine That! for the June Progressive Challenge. If you didn't get it free from participating in the May Progressive Challenge, it is available at a discount until the end of the month. Use one of the digis in the set and join the June challenge and the July digi set will be sent to you for free.
Challenges:
Imagine That! June DOTM Challenge - use the Lawn Ranger set (I hand colored the digi using colored pencils and markers.)
Stinkin' Inkers Challenge - You're the Man
Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #220 - One for the Boys
The Paper Shelter Challenge #474 - Use a Digi
The Male Challenge #151 - Dads and Granddads
As a member of the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge Design Team, Sundays I always set aside some time to write comments to those who have entered the current week's challenge.
There have been weeks when there were so many entries I thought I'd never finish. But, that's not the case lately. When I checked the challenge blog less than an hour ago, there were only 7 wonderful entries. I'll be finished writing comments in no time. This week's sketch was easy and fun. And the challenge stays open for another 7 hours, plenty of time to enter a card in the challenge.
Here's a birthday card I whipped up this morning in 15 minutes using the current sketch.

I'm so used to making kid oriented cards for SAS4K that I forgot I needed 5 adult cards this week. The stamp is from Stampin Up; circle dies are from Sizzix, and pretty floral dies are from Impression Obsession. (I cut those out of glitter paper. It was the first time I used the dies and they worked wonderfully, as IO dies usually do.) I added the bling and a bow and it's ready to go.
Hope we'll see a few more entries.
Our next weekly sketch challenge starts on Tuesday.
Thanks, Debi B
