Crazy Birds Happy Birthday

My younger brother's birthday is next week.  But I need to get his card in the mail by Saturday for him to get it in time.  No time like the present to get one made.

 Papers, punch, and enamel dots are from CTMH; stamps are from the Tim Holtz Crazy Bird collection from Stampers Anonymous; and the die cut is from  Die-versions.

The birds are fussy cut and paper pieced.

I wanted to make something special for a wonderful young man who just celebrated his 14th birthday on Friday.

  This is actually a fairly simple card to make 

and the effect of the center eye opening is great!

Double Trouble Challenge #11 - Card 2

Last week I made a card for the Double Trouble Challenge, but opted not to use the twist.  I really felt bad about letting twisted sister down.  I hope I can make it up to her with this card.

 For Trouble Maker I've used Black & White and only one other color.

For Double Dare I am also entering the Crafter's Cafe Challenge.

Most importantly, for Twisted Sister I've included a guy's wheelie toy.
And just for good measure
 (actually, by mistake because I forgot it was supposed to be for a guy, and what guy has a thistle colored VW with little white flowers?) 
here's a more feminine version. 


 The stamp set with VW die is from Taylored Expressions.
I used a CTMH stamp to add the flowers to the black and white polka dot background paper.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #413 - Anything Goes

It's time to make my annual Halloween Birthday Card for my daughter-in-law.  And since this week's Tuesday Throwdown Challenge is Anything Goes, I decided to make it a bit early and use it as my design team card.

 

I've used washi tape, glitter tape, and a scalloped punched border to dress up an otherwise CAS card.  The die cut circle is from a small scrap sheet of dp mounted on a punched scalloped circle.  The sentiment is from a freebie stamp set.  And the orange pearls were

originally white before being colored with a marker.

Tic Tac Toe at Color Dare

Do you enjoy Tic Tac Toe challenges?  I do.  

Today I've made a card for

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #312.

There are 8 color combinations from which to choose. 

I went with the first column, sugarplum, ballerina, and peacock, in making this Thank You card.

The sentiment is a stamp from CTMH.

The rectangular die cuts are from ODBD.

And, the floral die cut was a freebie from Quick Cards magazine.

   

 

Double Trouble Challenge #11

Thing #1 at Double Trouble Challenge is requesting cards in Black and White and only one other color.  Here's my contribution:

At Thing #2's request I am also entering this in the Crafter's Cafe  Challenge.  But, sorry Thing #3, no wheels on this one.
