TMS Challenge - 4 days left to play

I liked the challenge sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week so much that I decided to use it for this card, too.

Here's this week's sketch:

That cute little gnome was on a Christmas card that I received last year.  He was just too cute to sit in my stash.  I've recycled the little guy onto a fresh card.  He's sure to brighten someone's day!

So how about using this sketch to enter the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge this week?  Our team works so hard creating cards and leaving comments on your blogs.  Lately the entries have been dwindling and we are starting to feel neglected.

Well, actually, no one has actually put it into words, but I know I've been wondering why no one is playing?  You have to start somewhere when making a card.  Why not start with a sketch from TMS?

Am I starting to sound pathetic?   I'm sorry.  But....

PLEASE PLAY

I'm playing at these fun challenges:

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #226 - Merry & Bright

Little Red Wagon Challenge #632 - Anything Christmas or holiday

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #636

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches
Here is this week's sketch:

I'm still working on Christmas cards.

Here's the inside, too.
I used stamps from SU, a Sizzix Tim Holtz die, and some washi tape.

I hope you'll have time to play along at
this week.
The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

Red Hats for Christmas

This adorable snowman image is from Gecko Gals.  I love his festive bow tie and his red top hat.

It is on a free collage sheet available here.  You will really want to hop over and collect a few of these freebies!

For this card, I decided to reduce the size of the white card base and then mount the card on top an A-2 die cut.

And this is the card I sent to all the Delightful Dazzling Dames in my Red Hat Chapter.

The die cut ornament frame is dark purple with embossed silver foil in the inside and a red glitter die cut hat.

These were fun to make because they are going to a group of really fun gals!

December Birthday #3 - Mechanical Iris

My grandson's favorite subject in school this year is engineering.

For his 15th birthday tomorrow I thought I'd try some engineering of my own by making him a card with a mechanical iris.

When you move the yellow tab up,

the eye opens and this is what you see.

It works a little harder than I'd like, but I'm no engineer!

Here is the inside of the card.

This week, at Double Trouble Challenge #99,  Troublemaker asks that you choose an event as your theme, but the event is Up To You.  (My event is Matthew's birthday.)  Twisted Sister wants to see a number (15).  And Double Dare has teamed up with the Anything Goes Paper Fun Day Challenge #36, which I am entering, too.

Here are a few additional challenges

Paperminutes Challenge #721 - Numbers

Use Your Stuff Challenge #437 - Plaid

Allsorts Challenge week 653 - Use a Die (The Happy Birthday is a die from Shady Lane Expressions.)

Inkspirational Challenge #2 - Plaid

My December birthday cards are now finished and I can return to Christmas card mode.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #635

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches

 Here is this week's sketch:

Since it is mid December, I suppose you are expecting to see a Christmas card.

Well, you are absolutely correct.

The ornament is an old die cut from Our Daily Bread, which I have made into a shaker.  Can you see the tiny snowflakes inside?  And the foliage in the center was made using Sizzix Tim Holtz Thin Cuts.  The snowflakes attached to the embossed flakes are SU die cuts.

Here's a close up of the shaker ornament.

I hope you'll have time to play along at
this week.
The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

December Birthday Card #2

A few days ago I posted a birthday card for my SIL and mentioned that I had three December birthday cards to make.

Well, this is #2 and it is for my niece.

It is obvious that I am in Christmas mode, but I didn't ask her to be born 2 weeks before Christmas!

I made the tag using an image from Gecko Gals.  I wanted it to be the focal point so I only used part of the tea cup, which is a cut on the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge.  The tag is a die cut from MFT.  The ovals are Spellbinder die cuts.

Challenges:

Allsorts Challenge #653 - Use a die

Crafters' Cafe Challenge #279 - AG

Gecko Gals December Challenge - Holly and Ivy using a GG product

Through the Craft Room Door Challenge week of Nov 30th - AG

Wishing all my visitors a wonderful week.

Hope you all have time for a hot cup of tea!

Send a Smile 4 Kids December Challenge

The theme for the December Challenge at

Follow SAS4Kids on Facebook!

is Winter Cards
or Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I'm not sure where I picked up this Inkadinkado stamp, but  it sure looks like this squirrel is ready for some Winter fun.
I colored the image with markers.  The cricut cut sentiment is on the Artbooking cartridge from CTMH.

It would be great if you joined the fun at the
December Challenge.
(Cards only, please. And they need not be donated.)

Please take some time and visit the fabulous blogs of my teammates.  They work so hard and are very creative!
