Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Day #11

The theme for Day #11 at Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards  is Buttons.  Making a wreath of red and green buttons was my first thought.  Then, as I laid out the buttons on a piece of CS, I thought about how badly a postal machine might destroy them.  This is why I rarely use buttons on my cards.  So I decided not to make the entire wreath out of buttons, but just add a few tiny ones in between gold sequins.  I'll still need to pad the envelope, but the card has a much better chance of arriving in one piece.
I used a scalloped circle die cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and a Spellbinders Picot Edge Circle Die.  The sentiment is also CTMH.

P.S. I have a new challenge blog beginning in 2016. Please check it out and consider applying for the design team. Double D Challenges

  3. What a very pretty card!! Love the background paper!! Thanks for joining us at DCD this week!

  4. I love the way you've made your "wreath" Debi... what a fabulous idea! The button decorations and little gold bow finish it off beautifully. I love the background paper with the poinsettias too.
P.S. I find a little square of bubble wrap and a piece of firm cardboard placed over the front of a heavily embellished card really helps to get it to its destination without too much trouble. Plus it will still fit into a standard envelope.

  5. Oh how cute, love your button wreath! Very pretty colors!

Thank you for joining us at Die Cuttin Diva's!

  6. Just adorable, love the beautiful Christmas paper and the wreath is really nice with the touch of gold. Thanks for joining us at Scrapy Land. Fabulous ideas and great inspiration.
