8th Birthday Celebration at Imagine That Digis & MFT Sketch #528

My printer needs a new color ink cartridge.  But instead of waiting to purchase and install one, I decided to print this cute pre-colored Imagine That Digi in grayscale and add some color myself.

I used a bunch of scraps, mostly CTMH papers, Sizzix dies and stamp, and various markers.

This is my entry for this week's Feb. 8-14 Birthday Celebration Food/Cake Challenge at Imagine That Digis by Kris.

**************

The sketch at My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #528 is super easy this week and their design team has made some really nice cards using it.

Here is my version:

Hope you all had a nice day.

Guess who is 7 soon?

It's hard to believe that my first great-granddaughter, Laila, will be 7 soon.  Time sure does fly!  And she already has 2 younger sisters, too!

Every year since Laila was born, I have made her a special card using quilted digi numbers from Beccy's Place.  I'm glad I purchased the whole set, because I think they are retired now.  This year I've used one of Beccy's digis and also one of her tutorials to create this

Four Fold Card.

I colored the turtle with markers,  and then fussy cut.  I colored and cut a second head and neck section and then popped the top and glued the bottom to give it some dimension.  Before mailing, I will tuck a $5 bill and two $1 bills behind the blue striped section.

The Happy Birthday die is from Die-Version and the stamped sentiment is from Stampendous.

 Happy Birthday, Laila!

Double Trouble Challenge #76

The newest challenge at Double Trouble Challenge #76 is a "3-2-1 Recipe" Challenge using the following ingredients:

     3  Embellishments
     2  Patterned Papers
     1  Stamped or Digital Image

They are partnering with the Heart 2 Heart Challenge

where the theme is All You Need is Love.

Here's something you don't often see on my blog... Steampunk.

I printed the image in b/w and colored the heart with marker.  The fish is actually fussy cut in 3 layers and popped in between.   I've used CTMH patterned papers for the red frames, the b/w border, and the silver/white striped background.  The circle embellishments were die cut from a sheet of textured gold paper.  The sentiment was computer generated.

My grandson loves to fish and he also loves to see how things are made.   I think he'll like this card.  It gets tough when they reach those teen years!

Additional Challenges:

Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #263 - Sports (fishing)

Aud Sentiments Challenge #267 - Sending Love + a sentiment

Simon Says Monday Challenge - Love/Hearts

Gecko Gals February Challenge - Love Through the Ages (I've used an image from the Steampunk Jewel It sheet);    WINNER! WINNER!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #591

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches

To start the year off, everyone on the TMS Design Team has chosen their favorite sketch from last year.
This was Melissa's favorite sketch.

This was an easy and fun sketch to work with.
In fact, I have 2 cards to show you, a birthday and a Mother's Day card.

This is a fabulous and super easy sketch.
The flower spray on the birthday card, with a tiny bit of color added,  was fussy cut from one of the patterned CTMH papers I used.
The poppies on the second card are a Gina K. Designs stamp and were colored with markers. The bow is an IO die.  Sentiments on both cards are CTMH stamps.

I hope you'll have time to play along at

this week.
The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.
