Just a Spritz

Yesterday I was making some poinsettias for on Christmas cards.  I decided to give them a spritz of ink when they were all finished.  The question was, What color spritz?  I pulled out a piece of paper to see how Frost Shimmer Spritz would look on red.  It wasn't what I had in mind.  Then I tried some gold, was much happier, and sprayed the poinsettias.

This leads me to the card I am sharing today.  The red test paper from yesterday received a trip through my Cuttlebug with a holiday embossing folder.  It broke the surface a few places and the white paper core showed through.  A sponge dauber, black ink and some heavy distressing took care of that and really brought out the embossing pattern.  From that point, it only took a kraft card base, black mat, 3 layered gold die cut sentiment (once a gift box), Santa stamp by Tim Holtz colored and fussy cut, and a piece of ribbon to make this card.

The poinsettias?

I'll show you those another day.
